Love Frasier. Bummed about Donnie though. He was a really nice guy and a great character I thought. But he just got caught in the crossfire of Niles and Daphne.
I agree about Donny, he was a good guy and deserved happiness. I personally think he and Roz should've got together, as a wise character once said: "Why should two people be happy when four people can be ecstatic!"
@drhazeem, @Whillikersify, @grumpytosnowwhite. I begin to get tired of these compaints about plots failure: this episode was simple, funny and touching. Isn't that we're all what looking for? They were absolutely not selfish, they decided to live the moment so get married. This is something i guess is called passion. Passion is not a thing to plan on the long term. Besides, the writers decided to change their writing habits and turn things a bit excentric. Is that so wrong?!
@mrGoodMourning First, I love the show, but as a viewer, and one noting how the show took a nose dive in the last few seasons, I have the right to state my opinion. I think if the writers had decided to be less spontaneous and consider a compromise they may have had the show running a big longer. There is a place for spontaneity, and considering Niles 7 year pursuit, family support, this was not one of those times.
@ScottOrTheApocalypse Dude, no she wasn't. This is an entire year before she got pregnant. This is the season 10 premiere, she got pregnant in the season 11 premiere.
After a decade of watching Frasier and the moment finally arrives, we were gypped out of the wedding! Instead we get a two minute tacky vegas wedding clip. Seriously? What about those pretty much always two part wedding specials with the beautiful gown and everything. I really think the writers missed the boat on this one.

Even though this was a pretty funny episode and a sweet moment, I really wish they went in a different direction and did a big wedding special with a bunch of Frasier-esque mix-ups and lies and emergencies and a dinner party disaster that the Cranes are so famous for. On the other hand, I'm glad they didn't have a plot tumor wedding that ate up a whole season like Monica and Chandler's on Friends, so...I'm disappointed, but not mad. :)
@dinaarzina Well, after ten years, even the best shows lose their edge, unfortunately :( Especially when the writers that made the show brilliant in the first place get tired out and leave. You should hang on until season 11 though — they shake up the status quo quite a bit, and the old writers came back, and it's a lot funnier and better-plotted. Seasons 9 and 10 are by far the dullest seasons of the show.
@PlanetMan77 Most skinny women look a lot better after their first child. I always felt she was much too thin until she came back from fat camp...spa...thing.
Roz is being especially selfish in this episode. Who cares about Alice? Daphne and Niles just wanted to be married!
