  • No abs.. that is why civic wouldn't turn. I use to drive a integra that did not have ABS on the tracks, braking is indeed more difficult and constant pumping of the brake pedal is required. I also agree that The drift king should have given it a try considering he is known to drive the AE86; a car that does not come equipped with ABS however.. i doubt the result would be any difference from oridos because I am sure Orido has some experience with non abs just like the dk.

  • The b18b is out of the Civic Type R from the EK generation. Getting 230hp out of that motor isn't terribly difficult considering it's N/A.

  • Im guessing you from america where to fastest eg6 is the SI with the D16 engine (123bhp) but in the U.K and japan we get the EG6 with a B16 option U.K VTI 158bhp and Japan SIR 170bhp.

  • Where in my statement am I arguing that the EG6 never came with a b16? I never did. That's not the original b16A it came with. It's the b16B out of the EK9. It says it in video. The valve cover doesn't dictate the engine block. I'm not arguing that you're wrong, I'm arguing that you can't read.

  • no disrespect to anybody but no matter how you look at it an rx7 is going to give every car a run for its money on turns, grip or drift, its the weight distribution, FF's are to front heavy, to much understeer. FR's tend to kick out to much, AWD to heavy slows them down on turns a bit, the advantage the 7 has is its perfect 50/50 weight distribution they can take turns much faster without to much weight transfer in one place, its spread out more evenly

  • No, this video is about FWD vs RWD. FWD is not meant for the track. And no, you don't tune an RX7 to turn like an integra. You tune an integra to turn like an rx7.

  • stfu FWD's CAN own on a time attack track, thats the stupidiest thing I've ever read. Research the Type R Civic and Integras and all you'll see them owning in is on a track. Oh, minus the occassional drag race of a swapped USDM Civic taking a Mustang GT.

  • Real sports cars? That hatch is probably nothing compared to what it was stock. And this is a Japanese video, obviously they would know how to properly modify their own cars to run well. I love the hatchbacks, they are great tuners for track racing.

  • used skyliens are 13-18k stock and mileage.. sure they cost more than your crappy civic, but its able to do more styles of driving. Its not your shitty lil car is safer or can do drifting, touge, rally or autox aswell a skyline.. even if the thing is upgraded enough to have same torque/horsepower.

  • My crappy Civic eh? I've got the same body and chassis used on the original type r. My car can participate in time attack, drag, and auto x! Drifting is cool, but for show and hard on a car. You go faster when you stick, not when you drift. Rally racing is hard as hell on a car, but awd's do take the cake on that. Hell, they would just about beat anything in that category. Buying a skyline for that is a DEAL, so don't even compare it to modding a Civic. Civics are cheap, cost effective tuners.

The hatches are sweet, you're a fool to say they are not unique, they can be made that way. In Japan, Honda has been making the Type R line in the hatches until this past year with the 4 door. As Americans, we get the shaft on the best JDM stuff. Personally, I prefer boost over the n/a JDM approach b/c you can make more power with a turbo.

  • you mean the mugen? I don't like honda.. I hate them and fwd. I work at a honda dealership and I've driven many hondas but other than the sensitivity of the steerwheel compared to other cars, I don't like them.

  • Yes, Mugen and Spoon Sports, they both mainly work on building the DOHC vtec motors. Some of them are pretty bad, revving 11,000+ rpms, and making power that far! I won't sit here and lie that being fwd they don't have their limitations, but wtf man, they make some of the best fwd cars in the world. The CTR and ITR have been some phenomenal track cars past few years. Honestly, I will move on to bigger things, what have you to say about the NSX?

  • sure, its a nice car and its RWD I love its aesthetics and ability but it wasn't built like those cheap civics and I dont like hatchbacks. I don't like FWD because im into drifting and FWD can't drift, they can only slide.

  • Why do you say a Civics were built cheap? Civics are probably built just as good as any other 4cyl car American made. As a matter of fact, Civics are pretty much the best economical 4cyl built on the market period. All it takes is aftermarket stab bars, strut bars, good shocks and lowering springs, and you have a totally diff animal. Same with the motor, boost it or get the junk out and swap a beefier motor.

  • I didn't say built cheap, I was referring to the retail price as low priced. I know they are famous for their good gas mileage and cheap price.

  • Btw, just look at how hatchbacks have become the next big thing with fast sport compacts. Mini-cooper, Focus SVT and RS, Civic Type R, not too mention in Europe Peugeot and BMW have some nice hatch cars.
