  • niceeee

  • that sean playing acoustic guitar here? :)

  • @PhoenixFFVII

I know! ... It really looks like him. Him and Jon must've been cooking up ideas for Fiction Family around this time.

  • They are an awsome group...may they continue to grow, and bring those songs that awaken you!....

  • Great capture kiddo. Blessings to Jon, Switchfoot, and all the band's fans, for they will have their hearts touched before it's all done.

    Think Arete'

  • i love this sonng <333

  • yeah!! the best band!! switchfoot!! como to Mexico!!

  • Go read Psalm 22 and then read the lyrics to this song they are pretty similar

  • Okay, is anyone with me that switchfoot is THE BEST BAND EVER?!?!?

I mean, they don't have just a few good songs, they have A TON! God Bless Switchfoot!

  • this is the best ; it's just filled with amazingness.

    i also LOVE the crowd.

    (:(:

  • I'm surprised that Switchfoot and Nickel Creek collaborated that long ago. You can clearly see Sean throughout the video... and I can only assume that it was Sara playing violin.

This song never ceases to inspire!

  • It's pretty cool. They met when they were starting out, living in the same place and all too.

    Agreed, this song is fantastic.

  • okay, i think i just found the answer to that one, haha

  • This was the show with Eisley opening and Sarah from Nickel Creek playing a song or two with them, right? If so, I was definitely there for this :]

  • This has always been my favorite switchfoot song, but as a beginner guitar player. It way mind blowing when he started playing at the end. I can't believe how easy they can play those songs. I struggle all day just to play a few chords while they breeze thru these lovely songs like it's nothing.

  • well it's not like they picked up the guitar yesterday lol... u know practice makes perfect right...

  • yeah, and every guitar player had experienced exactly what youre sayin'...including me.

  • Yeah man, Sean AND Sara Watkins of Nickel Creek! Now that's a class act.

  • I love this song. :)

  • Check out Sean Watkins of Nickel Creek playing acoustic! That's pretty awesome. Go Foreman.

  • They wrote this song when they traveled to Africa.

  • yeah on live in san diego drew is using a fender telecaster the ENTIRE concert.

  • This song is so under rated.

  • I agree

  • I love this song!!!!

  • does anyone know the story behind this song?

  • he wrote this song when they went to Africa and it talks about people that are not known about or seen meaning.... that they are there .shadow proves the sunshine.the sunshine causes the shadow, that thereis hope

  • do i see a fender in the back? I thought they were all gibson. huh. cool.

  • I believe drew (the guitarist back there) uses a fender telecaster occasionally. they use a lot more gibsons though :D

  • Dude! Word. Is that Sean and Sara Watkins from Nickelcreek? Awesome. I love how Sara plays. It's love.

  • loooove this song i just got this cd

  • they went here in manila last sept 10. i was i was there of course.. i was waiting for them to play this song, i really like the lyrics..SWITCHFOOT's really gave a great rendition to this song..they were really amazing that night...

  • reminder: switchfoot concert in manila tonight!! :P

  • Awesome. Great quality; Switchfoot rocks. And they actually sing songs that count.

  • Wow, really good quality to this video! I remember the first Switchfoot concert I went to, I was so awstruck that he actually walked into the crowd and sang half of this song. He stayed out in the crowd for a while too! He's a really great performer...I'm going to another concert in October and then again in November and I hope they play this again!

  • love everything about them

n i love their inspiring music

    :]

  • I was at the same concert but in Portland, OR in October 2005.

  • i love it when the audience sings along, but i think that it wouldve been better if they just let him sing and let the words sink in, you know?

  • yeah i agree kinda....sometimes i wish i could just hear him sing, but then again i sing along to all the songs too...thats the fun of the concert! =)

  • lol wow i know exaclty how u feel i keep telling myself that i am not going to sing while i record but then i found myself sing meant to live and not being able to hear jon's amazing voice lol

I wish I had seen this vid earlier, hah.,. Thanks for sharing.

    Gabby

  • yeah they aren't a christian band, but christians in a band. important difference. "christian by faith, not by genre" - tim foreman.

  • yes ill have to agree best tspts video out there cant wait till i get the album in the mail ahhh

  • that was really well thought out of him. i love this band they're lyrics are the best!

  • What does it matter that Switchfoot is a christian band or not. There just a good band who play good music and maybe they inspire the christians that's not a bad thing

    btw nice vid :D

  • maravilhoso!

  • goddamn it. there's no such thing as god so get over urselves. switchfoot's too good to be a christian band.

  • God is someone so good, why wouldn't you believe in him? He's always going to be there for you, no matter how much bad crap you've gotten into your whole life. You have your beliefs, but don't shatter others. respect, man, just respect

  • I love Switchfoot!!!! Actually, rokstareater, Switchfoot are a Christian band. I love going to watch Switchfoot gigs. When the audience sings along and knows every word to their songs it just adds so much more to the experience. Rock on Switchfoot! Please come back to Australia soon!

  • so hot! they are not a christian rock band! theyre just a good clean rock band!

  • well yeah they're not a christian band, but their religion is christianity

  • @rokstareater I think they are.

  • @rokstareater

They are like as religious as you can get without being Relient K... Most of their songs are about, or reference, God.

  • absolutely amazing.

  • OMG I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!! I LOVE IT WHEN JON SCREAMS!!! HES SO CUTE! tim is so freakin hott! thanks fr posting =]

  • man I can't imagine Switchfoot singing Praise and Worship songs hahaha...that'd be tyte though!

  • Thats right switchfoot!!! sing to your savior JESUS CHRIST

  • This video is labelled incorrectly. It should not that this was a one-time-only collaboration with Nickel Creek's Sean and Sarah Watkins.

  • Wow one of the best videos I've seen of TSPTS.

  • AMAZING.
