Interlaced is a video format in which the video switchs from Horizontal and vertical image a fast pace (too fast for your eyes to notice) the difference between i and p is that the full picture is always shown in p while in i it does not

"i" or interlaced is more for TV's "P" or progressive is far better for PC's such as youtube - you'll see a massive difference on PC's with I and P and i would NEVER recommend using 1080i if you can use 720p instead, unless you are recording for TV's, I is better, but honestly, stick with P.

@CptBulldog Build a Power supply i use 12V/7Ah and 17Ah battery and cut up the Power lead and made a SMPS to take 13.8V in and 7.2V/8.4/9.6V out great for all night shots in the field, all test footage on my channel

i heard these kinds of cameras have bad "lagging" problems. when my friend converted videos to his computer to edit, he said it came out "laggy" because the image quality is so good that you have to down convert and it gives you problems. How would this camera do if it were uploaded onto an iMAC with FINAL CUT PRO?

No windows movie maker is shit. Just crack Sony Vegas 9 or something good. That is the only way you can take full advantage of the cameras quality, and even then you have to have the right template on the program to make its upload quality to be the best.

If it is a hard drive camera it should plug straight into you computer and a menu type tab will pull up and willl ask u to import, if it is a dv or any tape type camera you will need a FireWire port or else a dazzle avc inport you can get at best buy for around 50 dollars. This comes with a simple trial of pinnicle studio editing software. You just play the video while plugged into the pc or mac and it will import frame by frame

You can't change lenses on camcorders as far as I know. What you need to do is use an adapter and put on different lenses. Works nicely.
