I went there for GACKT's yfc tour concert! and I spent 15 days there sightseeing and trying all they had!!! I really recommend it! plus you can have around 7 or 8 tours with only 400 us dollars!!!

How do people cope with English there? Is it common that people are at least moderate in English and can answer some questions etc if ur in a need of help. I'm a Finnish student going for my exchange there next Autumn and I'm a bit nervous lol

@Zenkka Hmm well, my advice would be that if you're in need of help then it's better to ask younger people, roughly below 30 years of age because with them you have a bigger chance of them knowing English. When older (30-40+) people were young, English language classes were not obligatory in schools so most older people (whose job does not require it) do not speak much English...hope this helped.

My favourite city - I agree with Schuschanik about Fisherman's Bastion and Gellert Hill - the whole Buda side of the river was beautiful, and the Pest side was so cosmopolitan. I'm hoping to move out there in the future, but the language was the most difficult we encountered on our travels (some say it's distantly related to Finnish - I'm not sure how true that is).

they have the most similar language compare to us although , more than 90% of our worlds are very different.

it's the same story when you english can not understand the german, swedish,danish or dutch languages however they're related with yours

I had the honour of living in this beautiful city for 5 years , i met my wife here! I have brought a place here in the city too! i love the people , food , drink and ,well just about everything about it. If anybody reading this ever stayed at the Station Guesthouse hostel between 2002 and 2006,i was the bald guy working the bar at night with the full KISS tattoo on my back , remember the good times and if you have never been here ,well ,you don't know what you're missing!
