i never knew impetigo untill some days ago,i saw a video with the song BREAKFAST AT THE M.MORGURE

the video and the song was great,and so i downloaded Horror Of The Zombies

its AMAZING

and as i read are pioneers along with carcass(heard of them)

i am a big fan of stoner/sludge/doom scene but impetigo is a FUCKING GREAT band,and surely they know how to write music that can make some people cry from fear..

The only difference between Impetigo and Carcass is the atmosphere. When I turn on Impetigo, I feel like I was in an old horror flick where zombies take part. When I turn on Carcass, I dont feel anything except great guitars and beats. Carcass may be more technical, melodical or musically better, but it is Impetigo that makes true gore.

Pretty much everything except for the Antefatto split with Blood and Horror of the Zombies, a death metal masterpiece. but even then, the rest is more Deathgrind than anything else. All We Need is Cheez is the closest thing to pure grind you're gonna get from Impetigo. but it doesn't matter, everything they released is great. I don't really give a shit about genres.

i'd say ultimo mundo canibale is more goregrind, one of the pioneer albums of goregrind along with Carcass's Reek of Putrefaction(of course i'm not forgetting about both of their early demos as well). Personally though i think for the most part impetigo were a style of their own especially on horror of the zombies. but your opinion is your opinion.
