This scene might actually serve as a very pivotal one. The woman Sayid was collecting information on and killed was working for a man known as The Economist. The Economist is probably none other than Alvar Hanso, founder of the Hanso Foundation which is responsible for the Dharma Initiative Orientation films.

The 6th Season will not only be about whether or not our Losties reset the timeline but also the war between the Hanso Foundation and the Widmore Corporation.
