  • 2:33 - 3:00 I heard a little Zelda going on in there, heh.

  • This is AMAZING! I love it and I can't stop listening to it. Also, I play the flute :)

  • dude... save that somewhere. One day, ur gonna have to make some dough off of that $

  • This flute girl is damn HOT! Does she have youtube account :D?

  • Stop the flute, stop the violine - let the King alone!

  • haha xD

    its good ^^

  • huuuh... nobody thinks the applause time has a problem? >< .... wtf!!! what are the guys doin'!!!! F**** stand up lol xD

  • nice nice ! 5:41, Did you play a lot of final fantasy main theme when composing this?xd

  • Mmm memories! =)

  • god after watching this.. i feel like throwing my electric guitars and go to the soft side of music

  • Very impressive. I forget from time to time that I actually like this kind of music :P Also, performing music is about passion. If you feel like you need to sway and turn with your flute, then do so :D Professional or not, I think it's more important to have fun while playing ^^

  • Too kitsch for my taste. But well played.

  • this was very impressive I'm a flute player myself && it was really god. Just a helpful tip , you don't have to move around with the flute . Its more professional if you don't move THAT much. I mean, you can sway with it, but you like turn too much. watch sir James Galway , he's realllyyyy good. I loved the violin part too ! (: good job guys.

  • @totallyangel1 I meant good not god ! LOL

  • you don't move to look 'good'...you move because the MUSIC moves you.

  • I'm not stupid . I'm saying it's more professional not to move as much . As I said I'm a flutist and I love music ; but when it comes to playing for people at a concert or something ; you want your audience focused on your music not distracted by moving .

  • isn't it flautist

  • noticed the one melody from your midnight promenade in there ;D, nicely done with flute

  • beautiful~

  • It sounded a little bit like FF7.. But not enough to bother me :)

    A job well done :D

  • beautiful!

  • Dear Kyle

first i `ll congratulate for this masterpiece of musik, i like the third part at most ......maybe `cause I´m a human who loves the night , if lights turn off ant the stars begin to sing...

Well done, like the other pianoparts.....

  • I absolutely love the part from 6:56 to 8:33 *.*

    well done

  • wow it sounds so nice, but the ending sounded quite abit like final fantasy =p

  • Gods.

  • your flutist is awesome. the melody when she comes in at the beginning is breathtakingly beautiful

  • Wow. Afternoon theme reminds me of FF7.. Was this influenced by it? Haha.

  • you wrote this?!!! it's beautiful!!! ......could i have same of the sheet music??

  • i like the flute best, it played like old times

  • omg harmony!!!!!!!!!!! hey can u send me the notes in piano violin and flute so my friends and i can play it???

  • wonderful!!!

    U always amaze me :)

  • The last movement reminded me a lot of FFVII.

But it was an amazing thing you three did there.

    Beautiful piece of music.

  • good video taping shayla

  • should be on that talent show, err his probably from america so i'd say "America's got talent"

  • oh my god, the harmony of everything combined...it's practically delicious!! NOM NOM! love it, man..<3

  • the piano was obviously awesome the violin and the flute were great flute

  • ya wouldnt know it was a guy playing the violin unless u really looked hard lulz

  • agreed haha ^_^

  • O_o

    its a guy!!!

    but I already fapped

  • matt roys original composition dogwood and the start of your flute solo sounds exactly the same!? O.o???

  • I have no idea why he used my music and label it as "original" either. Makes no sense huh?

  • wow!!

    I got just one question,

what u gonna do when u ready with the "school"? (when u ready with it?)

    Hope for anwer

    Keep on rocking Kyle YEAH!

    Fan FeelsDeep

  • that was HOT kyle, i can't stop listening. so amazing. i can picture the next big square-enix RPG using all these themes hehe. hey we have a question for you... what type of feedback did your teacher give you for the project? like... why an A- insetad of an? i'm curious what exactly he said....

  • PART 1!

Obviously, as many have stated - this is a beautiful piece of music. The compositional work and effort put into this must have been amazing, so here's my praise for that.

The only critisism i can think of is that i thinkyou should have more of a solo. I know you were accompanying the Flute + violin, but it would have been nice. And also maybe a hook in morning mov.

  • PART 2!

Also lol, i know this may be hard to do. But, during the mov's - i now you all have to change your scores, however, maybe that guy next to you could change your one, whilst you add a little filler, to allow the flow of section. Whilst the other instrumentalists change their scores quickly ;) Just a though xD

  • PART 3!

P.S To all those people who keep saying i recognise this from FF etc, really and truly music is built from inspiration, and creativity, it's only natural some chordal structures will be included, but it sounds so much fucking better ;)

Well done man. 1 of your greatest fans ;) honestly xD

  • wow....

as if im listening to an orchestra...! :O

  • just to be an equalizer in this torrent of praise (well deserved, by the way)

you are a great pianist, but do you ever think all your pieces are characteristically over-the-top? i mean it's kinda grandiose for morning, you know? *wakes up, goes to a slum and solves poverty, saves four potential rape victims, and diverts an attempted bank heist, all before 10 o'clock!*

  • HAHAHA..

  • I absolutely love this...although I myself believe you shoul've had a cello somewhere in there.(pardon the my biased opinion, I play the cello myself) Just keep doing what you truely love dude.

  • The quintet I'm working on now has a Cello.

  • WOW the three of them should work together more often... With just Kyle it's amazing but they make it even better! O_O

  • Pardon: Day of Music - Kyle Landry =)

  • I've been a listenner for a long time now... and it's incredible how u can keep surprising every fellow listenner...even your closest friends... you are indeed amazing... and this semester project just gave me even more reason to say it... and that part just after 7:45 gave me a musical orgasm... lol I'm fine now =)

I hope to keep hearing your covers, compositions, a lot of disney and games soundtracks.... and man... Three Thirds of a Day - Kyle Landry, is a great achievement =)

  • Loved the MOV II - Afternoon :D

  • it's lovely!!!

  • hey great song :)....any chance for the sheet music?

  • woo

  • I love how people still dont' understand that you arranged the ENTIRE thing.

    Flute, Violin, And Piano.

It's a gorgeous piano by the way.

and I really love this arrangement (:

  • Well, composed is the correct term.

  • awesome, simply breath taking

  • Beautiful. You and your friends are very talented. The mood changes are nice too.

Was that an Ocean allusion in the beginning?

  • Very nice composition! I just have one comment about the way the piano was played. How can i say this... I can tell that you play allot on a keyboard. Try to work on really feeling the keys when you play a real piano. At times during your performance you got a little of a crude sound. I was very impressed with the compositional ideas as i cant really compose that well.

  • I know how to play a real piano. I learned on one for most of my time playing. I was just a little nervous.

  • You should compose something orchestral. Do you have an orchestra at the University?

  • OF COURSE! The musicians at my school are all so freaking talented.

  • I heard so many snippets of Final Fantasy music that I can't even point all of them out.

Especially the one towards the end. Isn't that Aerith's Theme? It makes me want to cry xD

Anyway, this was totally worth listening to for ten minutes. I loved it!

  • Comment removed

  • really good i play the violin i have for 5 years

  • ive been playing the flute for 4 years now

i really love the flute part! its gorgeous!

    your an amazing artist

    i love your music

  • wow..... this was amazing!!!!!!

my fav was the night movement....

i stopped breathing when it started

  • That was incredible.

  • congratulations :D:D:D:D:D

  • That applause. It was pathetic.

You deserve a thundering hoard of fangirls throwing themselves at security guards to get at you after that.

    Kylemania. xD

  • LOL.,

  • @xoposo wow....that was pathetic

  • Saw this a while back but was too lazy to comment at the time. XD

I really like this. Reminds me of movie music. Good job! :O

  • A-ahh my god. I want to play that flute part so badly!!

Actually, I want all that music. I know a pianist, a violinist, and a flutist~

    >:3

  • I'll send you the flute part if you really want =)

  • nice compostion

  • All I can say is YES.

  • Wow. That was AMAZING.

From the composition, to the the piano, to the violin, to the flute.

    :]

  • well i think all three of you did a great job

if only i was there....dont mind if i jaw drop cause thats how i am hahaha

i cant tell which parts i like better...maybe that shows how good all the parts were =)

  • the second part of the song is beautifully started with the flute!!! omg.. love it :)

your piano seems like background.. but it going beautifully :) :)

  • omg that was so beautiful and amazing!

  • I want... I want to be on you.

  • Well, didn't expect any less ~, but couldn't help hearing FF tunes from time to time, and I hoped I would ~~~, at 5:39 I almsost thought that you'd start playing FF7's main theme in that kind of manner ~~, and then violin, at 09:41 ~~

you should put up more videos of you playing with other people ~

BTW: didn't find Twilight Princess's trailer theme on your page; I reuploaded it the time your account got deleted. Already stole like 3000 views from you, just with that one :)

  • Right, as I thought, Twilight Princess is on your 5556 account :)

  • aerith's theme at 9:41 =) love it

  • really nice ^^ loved it :D

  • Nice work. Looking forward to next semester.

  • beautiful people.. beautiful music.. love it!

  • this is niceeee.

    dang (:

  • The flute girl is great! :) I play flute, too. She has nice tone, but she'll have an even nicer tone if she keeps it closer to parallel. If you dip it too much, the tone quality goes with it. Keep it close to parallel (it doesn't necessarily have to be completely straight) and the tone will stay smoother. Just a thought. :)

  • My instructor says the same thing, but when I watch professionals play on YouTube, that's not the case at all. Their flutes are held at every angle possible. So, I don't think it matters as much as people say.

The 3rd movement (Night) sounds beautiful :)

  • Ohh, I see. :/ My instructor gets miffed if our angle is bad during band class. But during marching band you don't have choice because it doesn't look good if it's not parallel. Thanks for the info!

  • The premise of this piece reminds me of that piece in the original Fantasia with the hippos in tutus...

And... you're a freshman also, so why were you amazed at their nice tone? You have a really nice tone too you know!

  • This is.... amazing...

  • the third piece was by far the best, i loved it....

  • Brilliant!!I cannot believe you three geniuses wrote these songs. Albeit some parts sounded like other pieces, you guys really have some unique works here. The third piece spoke to my heart. I was gallantly moved to tears. The third piece should really be put in a Final Fantasy ending. Fantastic job.

  • Well, I wrote it silly lol. They are my performers.

  • what a stunningly beautiful trio :]

  • Holy cow, That was amazing.

  • Very nice music!

  • I especially liked the way that some themes/motives kept recurring across the three movements. Nicely done

PS I agree that the piano can be softer.

  • One thing I just have to say is that sometimes the piano can be softer so the solo can be heard =]

  • So true

  • Wow, that is absolutely amazing! xD

    5/5

I wish I had that sort of compositional talent... was there are Final Fantasy influence? Some familiar themes there!

  • OMG!!! Michelle!!!!

  • lol whut? only A-? *readys gun* TIME TO KILL A TEACHER D=

  • This is insane. As always. :] Phenomenal job.

  • what was your grade for that?

    did you end up passing?

  • A- =)

  • oh my god you got an A- for that shit, i would have gave you am A+, why he give you an A- D:

  • What on earth could he possibly have against that? lol (:

  • This is really good! I am amazed! What college do you go to? Is it music based?

    ~LunarFox18

  • At the end it sounded like you added some FFVII tones to it. Was that intentional or did you just subconsciously add them in?

  • Wow! That was beautiful! Good job!

  • that violinist is goooooooooood

  • Nah he sucks balls!

  • this is wonderful.. i hope you will post a better quality version of this up.... n_n

  • You Are Brimming With Talent Aren't You? If Only England Was Full Of Helpful People Such As You To Get Lazy Sods Like Me Capcable Of Playing Piano. Well Done For Sticking In :) Good Luck

  • So...who won the competition? I would wish you had won, but you're right. That school must be full of talented musicians like yourself... oh, well. In my mind you're the winner! Anyway, I'll see you as the first place winner your senior year. ;P

  • Kyle...you've blown my mind yet again. Don't stop lol.:D WOW...XD

  • Hey! Bud, Ha ha always fantastic music. You will become a very famous musictian. That also goes for the Amazing Instrumentalists!

    Great work!

  • Definitely! Especially that flutist! That girl is brimming with talent for a freshman. Good luck!

  • You have no idea, my piece displays no where near the amount of talent she wields actually.

  • Is that right? I figured as much. Dude pursue a great path and keep your friends close. Keep the girl close to you, as she has serious talent like yourself.

  • I wish my mornings were so lively! :D

  • ... HORN YES PWN Cant wait to hear it i play the and take horn lessons at Anna Maria College... great job it was awesome cant wait for the horn piece

  • kyle i can completely see you writing scores for sound tracks for movies and games one day. your that damn good

  • Very good. You should consider playing for people at weddings and restaurants. I couldn't compose something as amazing as that. I've tried but it sounds like a modern more type of music.

  • I remember a change in the morning piece, where the piano switched from melody to harmony all of a sudden and the violin took over (I believe it was the violin)...

Wow, that's one heck of a morning right there. Haha, amazing stuff!

  • would like to hear a good recording of it!

  • Great job Kyle, my bad on not makin' that composer's recital. Whenever your done with that horn piece if your still doin' it I'm game to play it. Steve needs a hair cut, oh well,he's gonna go bald anyway haha.

  • HAHA.... it's aight... I'm indeed writing that piece still. I want to finish by the end of vacation. It's a quintet of Flute, Oboe, Violin, Cello and of course horn :P

  • and your eye level will always be at my balls...hahahaha fuck you adam!

  • oh oh oh you got a negative steve :P

  • OMG MY POST!!! T_T Yay you made a composition >:D From 5:10 - 5:20 the violin has a nice part too. I like the staccato on piano at 5:40 - 5:50. Oh the violinist hits very pretty high notes at 3:55 ^^b From 7:00 - 8:30 I like it all! (I see dominant anime influence there especially after 7:45 xD) And right after the little cheeky flute solo 8] The ending has the FFVII feel Dx More to say but running out of words. I like it a lot, make more!!! ==b!

  • Breathtaking! =D

  • oh my! your compositions are AMAZING!

i show this to EVERYONE!!! litterally... i brag about your amazingness

would it be possible to hear only the piano part sometime? i just have an obsession with pianos :)

  • MOV #3 was cool, but it didn't have as much of a "wow" element to the others. Guess I was expecting a "big bang" finish that I normally hear in your improvs. But nevertheless, I really enjoyed it. Thanks so much for sharing! ^_^

  • 9:13 is the "wow" element of MOV 3. It didn't go over well with you? =(.

  • tried to return it.

Furthermore, complexity is the key "wow" element for me. I tend to like it when instruments play consecutively (like two people conversing), but then when they start to play at the same time they diverge either into different keys, time sigs or just contradict each other (like confusion/an arguement). But like a rainbow after a storm; they finish strong by blending together harmoniously. ^_^ Well, that's my pov!

  • Acck! My first post never went through. =/ Okay well I said something along the lines of:

Ah, well 9:13 certainly had a nice crescendo and it led in well to the concluding stretch. However, 8:30-9:13 seemed like a really long segment since notes were held. I couldn't help but feel that the music didn't climb high enough and/or that the "bang" didn't last long enough. Like consuming 100% and then outputting 30% energy; you drew the life out of those notes but didn't do justice when you

  • Btw, I was refering to 9:13 -9:25 when I said "the bang".

Also, I loved the segment of 9:40 and onwards. =D That was a great ending.

  • Wow, I think I've listened to this video at least 20 times now! @_@ I must say, MOV #1 had me envisioning & thinking "this would be so awesome if it were the intro music sequence to an FF game" xD I think I liked that one the best but then again, MOV #2 was contrasted really well so it was hard to have a preference between styles. It reminded me of a village at work; with the main character trying to make a deadline. =D

  • i really liked the use of that tritone at about 4:03 (at the end of the first movement). it really added a nice loftiness to the melody.

  • Haha, that was just a mistake of Steve XD

  • haha, really. just goes to show that a well placed mistake played like nothing happened can go a long way. it stood out to me because i've been working on composing with secondary dominants

  • Great piece! Keep up the good work!

  • Wow... you are an inspiration to continue composing and writing on my own. Your piece is amazing!

  • this is really great, i love it man, keep posting videos, i admire you SO MUCH. Bye

  • Briljant!

  • I normally don't like your own compositions that much, but this one actualy gave me a good feeling, aspecialy the last movement. bravo on this one.

  • One day Kyle, my darling, you will play alongside the world's best musicians. You will have the voices of their instruments at your command, playing your pieces.

On that note, why would you post your school email address?

Your college will be very upset when the email system explodes.

  • I have to agree, though I'm sure his college administrators will find it in themselves to forgive him. xD That was an epic piece, I really loved it. Keep being awesome! ;)

  • Maui I love you! I'm so very glad you like my chamber writing =) Heh were you excited I started off the melody using a piece I wrote over the phone with you? And I haven't gotten any emails yet haha. I don't really know why I posted it. How are you and Kyle?

  • I was really glad actually. Whenever I hear that piece, I can't help but think that you still remember me sometimes in passing when you play your music. But, maybe that's being too wishful.

Kyle and I are well. I'm glad to see that you're enjoying college life.

Have an amazing Christmas! Eat lots of delicious food. I miss our food talks too =p.

    Take care!

  • OMG FOOD TALKS! Can we talk on the phone again or is that not allowed? :O I really would like to catch up.

I do think of you when I play pieces I wrote for you ^.^

  • i keep listening to this...it is so gorgeous. i absolutely, tremendously love the beginning.

i was thinking of getting my skype number back so matt and some other people could call me. i never ended up doing it, cuz i decided to pay off my credit card in full as opposed to putting more on it. haha, oh well. i guess since it's clean now, i can do it for the new year.

    Merry Christmas!

  • Yay so Maui's back????? WOOOT.... I remember when I used to cook in the middle of the night with you hehe.

  • Wow, this is great. I'd love to hear it with a full orchestra.

  • i love the soft instruments :D

i can't wait for your next video :D

  • Bravo!!! Absolutely fantastico!!!! A magnificent masterpiece!!! Really moved my heart keep on playing!!

  • Bravo!!

  • Man I expected nottin less.. great job... glad you did one of your piece with instrumentalists... gotta love the instrumentals though I definitely respect the vocals ofcourse (singing is crazy hard!). Anyhow I'm tryin to learn gospel & jazz piano becuz I've always been intrigued by those styles (random rant) but thats' what I'm up too at my school. Rmbr to hold onto that passion. keep going to the top see ya lata man

  • though I am sad about the crude sound ;( but as u said I hear the ideas!.. k I'm done lol so many comments for me zZzZz

  • I think actually it reminds me more of Eternal Sonata/Baten Kaitos than Final Fantasy.

  • Finally something other than FF. Thank you.

  • A piano movie I seriously recommend you watch Kylelandry is called "Secret". It's a great asian love story about piano, if you can use your ears well you can try and learn some of their songs or styles of playing. ITS AWESOME. You should really check it out if you got time. It's a great inspirational movie every pianist should watch.

The movie is on Youtube, just type in Secret - Part 1/10 [English Sub]

  • I already saw it.

  • lolz....=|

  • Who hasn't seen it. -__-

  • whats wrong with FF =( lol jk, jk. I know it probably wasnt intentional to make it sound like FF o.o....great skillz =P

  • kylee!!! its been awesome watching you grow into your musical talent. first started when you were 16 playing anime themes, and now at 18 composing your own pieces, different intruments included.

my god, i cant wait to see where you are in 5 more years
