"road players" are a "dime a dozen" and are (with a VERY few notable exceptions) treated as such. Players are fired and replaced at the drop of a hat ALL THE TIME (and for some of the most picayune reasons...wearing the wrong color shirt,for example). Competition for "Artist Gigs" is cutthroat, with conservatory-trained musicians 50 deep at every instrument. Finding a replacement musician is easy as picking apples

@Ravenite1 Apparently, he was shooting the bird at the fans.He had to know this was not cool. He would have been put in place by the police had he hit her. She's a star. He is just a guitarist. The odds of him not facing felony battery charges for hitting her in front of a large crowd like that would have been low, not to mention it would have ruined his career as no label would hire him for a tour again. I did not like how she behaved but violence is not a manly way to act or resolve problems.

As a musician he should have stayed professional and if he hates how the tour was should have asked the label to find him another act closer to his liking. You're just so used to people using Autotune live or lipsyncing that you think someone actually singing live makes her awesome. It doesn't. That's how all singers used to have to do it, and if you weren't good at singing, you didn't sing.
