This video is put together in an excellent way. I've flown on an A380 twice, the first time I remember thinking how much more space there seemed to be compared to a 747-400.
what amazes me even more than putting together that humungous "shell" is the damn electrical system.... throttle, landing gear, flaps, gauges, radios, rudder, ignition, lights, and thousands more with thousands of wires all working together.... unreal...

By far the Crapest plane I have been on! Singapore Airlines & Qabtas both regret buying this plane. It falls out of the sky, they constantly burn there engines. Anyone that likes these planes are obviously blind cause they don't see the news. SHIT PRODUCT AND SERVICE...
@hmahindroo don't talk like this about this wonderful aircraft. there is no burning engine, excepted if you were on the flight where there was an accident, in 2010
Be careful with what you say to her, if you upset her by telling that she's gay, fat or ugly. She will definitly come and get ya. There's no messing with this plane, as big as she looks, is as swift she is. Sooner or later she will be the new queen of the skies.
Science fiction is now Science fact, just look at this, can you even imagin how extreme futuristic this would look lik 100 years ago?
The whole process of building aircraft like these is just mindblowing, simply beautiful to see how we humans advance in engineering. I bet even aliens would be under impression, even if they were more technologically advanced than we are.
@paulmang i didnt say it wasnt awesome, yes it is an amazing plane, but planes are built for one reason only, to be sold for a profit, therefore from an engineering point its great ,but from a profit point of view its a failure.
In 100 years from the first flight that last 20 meters to an airplane that can carry 800 people in every part of the world... where will we be 100 years from now? it' s amazing what humankind is capable of...
a postman in airbus industry said : in the new generation of airbus planes ,the passenger will be able to open the window at cruising stage .airbus going to use AXB-5000 technology for this purpose.
What is also exciting about Airbus, is that this plane was made in four countries and assembled in Toulouse with workers from all four countries. It is an example of EU cooperation for jobs. It's nice considering for most of human history England, France, Germany and Spain fought each other.
@Gonergrat Absolutely, well said! A380 is a triumph not just in engineering terms, but also in working together. Something we should all be very proud of.
You Europeans are fukers but i don't blame you. The Americans are even worse fukers when it comes to Boeing vs Airbus. Boeing does not make American planes that is only an perspective and vice versa. If i show an man unknown to airplanes, Boeing and Airbus planes would he say these are European and those are Americans? No they are just airplanes. Just because it is not made on the soil that is your property does not make much of a difference.
I have visited the A330/340 production line at Toulouse and it takes just one week to assemble all the parts from arrival at the factory of fuselage sections (as seen in this A380 video), add the undercarriage and engines and perform all equipment tests. Finally, the aircraft leaves the assembly hangar a week later essentially finished bar painting in customer colour scheme and final testing of all flight controls. Then the interior is fitted before flight testing. Fantastic to see!
I love this Video and the music fits well too. Makes me proud to be part of the project. However, if the video showed all the start stops due to Customer Inspection, this would be a bit longer than 7 minutes ;)
This is one of the reasons that makes me proud of being European :) It's just like Lego. So many pieces, and they all fit perfectly on each other! Great video
