Romania listens to Shostakovich. Also Rep. of Moldova will! let's give wings to our feelings and let them fly and dance with joy on this beautifull waltz, lenka! :)
Luc Besson is my favorite director, he takes total control of what he does... imagery, story and music to make it work.. He's a french director, but I can see the impact that Shostakovich had on him.. the same drive for perfection.. and how Shostakovich influenced the music scores Besson would use..
does anyone know how to play the second violin part? i have a test on this and i cant play the piece at all.... could anybody help me with this situation maybe refer me to a video of someone playing the second violin part or post a video on here for me to watch/learn???????????? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
I've learnt of this piece from the wonderful advert supporting make a wish foundation, it always makes me smile :) I love this piece, it is gorgeous <3
@Pisikadelina The one combining fairy and febreeze, it has a girl commanding a rowing team and she's bossing them around. It supports Make A Wish Foundation
@zebbo1977 not at all true. He was threatened and forced to make propaganda music for Stalin films. Stalin hated his 5th symphony and nearly had him sent to the Gulag. Inform yourself before making such statements.
Please note that contemporary classical music is excluded from this list. For instance, John Williams or Ennio Morricone, as great as they are, does not belong to this list.
Hey everyone, please write your favorite 5 classical music pieces(in no particular order). I will collect the results and announce them at the end of the March 2012. Like this to make it a top comment so that more people can participate in this survey.
@rainwalker93 Every modern generation had 'wild' music like that. Even so there are some from from the currently 18 year old generation that loves this music, myself included.
Terrific tune.Used very well as a theme in the play 'The Overcoat'. Not a single spoken word of dialogue in the production and not required with music like this to do the talking.
