I agree potential penquin.. This movie had so many good actors and so much potential but I could not believe how it fell so FLAT.. I was shocked!... I walked out of that theater in a daze lol.. But the Music was absolutely amazing.. its ONLY redeeming quality... Kate Hudson blew my mind on how good she was.. I would think they would of left that kind of dancing to Fergie.. But Kate held her own thats for sure.. It had so much potential such a disappointment.

This movie was a train wreck. The only two really memorable songs were this and Be Italian and they were spoiled in the teasers. Plus the characters who sung them had NOTHING TO DO WITH THE STORYLINE. Seriously, try and justify Kate Hudson and Fergie story wise in this. What point did they serve other than to briefy electrify the screen with their numbers? The only truly worthwhile thing in the movie was Marion Collitard. Her performance had a passion the others wish they had.

The costume designer for Nine deserves an Oscar ... completely captured the subtle glamour and chic fashion of Italian 1960s cinema....the dancer's suits and haircuts, all the lingerie, and Kate Hudson's Cinema Italiano dress is FAB!!! I think it's impossible for anyone to compare to Fellini, but if you love Fellini, I think you can better appreciate the quality of this film. I hope to see more Italian-inspired cinema...viva Italia!!! (I'm not Italian)... ;)

I was really surprised by Kate Hudson. I heard she worked really hard on the dancing and it shows.

What I found weird about Nine was how each star came on to do their own little number. After a while it got a bit 'samey' no matter how beautiful it looked or great it sounded. I wish there had been more ensemble pieces in the movie or some duets of some sort. Great cast and directing if a boring plot.

The original idea by Fellini, actually, was extremely interesting and represented the first exemple of 'meta-movie' ever realized in the history of cinema. Obviously, if you wanna make a musical out of it, something has to be loosened. The result could be that some dialogues become flat and boring. Still, I admire and applaude the great effort and the brilliant try.

Everyone lipsyincs in musicals and music videos. lol Or do you think they're gonna have them sing 29381237 times everytime they have to re shoot the scene? lol They record the track and then the actor lip syncs to it when they're shooting the scene.That's just common procedure.
