The last show I saw was in Montreal and Paul played From Dusk... To Dawn... from Underwater Sunlight on a WHITE BABY GRAND PIANO... Absolutely AMAZING...
I have the whole collection original vynils 33 1/3... I even have Encore as a collective item (mint condition). I started collecting them when I was 17, in 1982, before Logos (1984)... The only ones I am missing are the latest albums, I even have some more recent CDs but to me, they were at their best before 1996... Thank you for putting their music up...
Myself and a buddy had recorded this off WFMU Upsala College radio Nov 82. The host of Synthethic Pleasures had just gotten a pre -release of it. So when he cued it up our cassette decks were rolling.
Later in March 83 we took a trip up to Vermont near Bristol in search of an old silver cache that was a legend from the 1700s up in the mtns of Bristol Notch.
Deep snow covered the area that we bushwhacked for miles, coming to an unnamed pond, the location of the said cave.in the side of South Mtn
that a Spanaird named Degrau had hidden treasure. The pond a landmark for the location of the cave against South Mtn.We hiked for a few hours until we came across that pond. The whole time listening to LOGOS on our walkmans. It had a eerie vibe about it as there had been a body sunk in it, as a warning to ward off others or as burial Other worldly, feeling like the something was always watching us we pressed on round the shoreline. We spent the better part of the day getting to this point...
snow falling, skies darkening We headed back down both due to the weather & that dark ambient presence of being watched. Had to take my headphones off at one point getting so gripped with fear. We made it back to the car and then back to town settled in for the night. We hit the Ranger station in the a.m for some more info They knew about the legend saying "let's us know what you find " We went back but the Presence was still there w/ 2 ft of fresh snowfall. Something didn't want us there
This recording was done using Wolfgang Palm's high tech Waveterm PPG 2.2 and 2.3 modular synths, which had a 1-bit memory card. They were ahead of their time and in some cases still are. 118 recordings, 7 time Grammy nominations and over 50 soundtracks to featured films!
@RichieFZ I've been lucky enough to find a majority of my TD albums Used for cheap prices. I guess that's one of the benefits of being younger. They're much less popular nowadays. :D
@RichieFZ Nice! I just bought 2 more TD albums today as well. Well, actually one TD (White Eagle) and one Edgar Froese (Aqua)...as well as the Canyon Dreams VHS (for 50 cents!!!) and the Three Phase live VHS. I found some great deals on Amazon and couldn't pass them up! :)
@hinder90 I loved this part of the cd so much i rerecorded it with an extra chapter point at 15:56 just so i could go right in at the build up to the best part when on a quick trip in the car
I first heard this around 1984 (my dad taped it from a college radio station) and literally spent decades wondering who had performed this. It influenced my musical taste more than any other single musical work. I "discovered" Tangerine Dream around 1989 when I entered college myself, but never made the connection. Not until earlier this year when I heard a clip of Logos from Booster did I make the connection. Finally in September, I was able to purchase the CD for myself. Ah, perfection.
still got the LP , (vinyl , you know !?) many txh for bringin back so good memories , was an awesome time (with some strange experiments) that we had in the 80ies !!
Thanks alot for uploading this. Really fantasic stuff which to this day still gives me the chills every time I listen to it. Just a shame I was too young at the time to witness what is in my opinion one of the best ever `live` recordings by TD.
Thank you for uploading in it's entirety - Somehow the selected excerpts just don't quite do it. For me, the panning drums and sequencing at the end of part one are the peak of their achievements. I was at the Dominion the night they recorded this, the back of my head is on the album cover LOL. :) Great Night. Blew me away. :)
@Moe23pd It is definitely great head music without a doubt... but the best part is you can enjoy Tangerine Dream stoned or straight it doesn't matter....
When I was a kid, I saw the movie called "The Soldier", and I've been looked after the main theme of the movie till today. I don't know, that it is on the "Logos" album. It's awesome!!!

The album was made in 1982, but I don't think it reached us before late 1983, early 1984, in Canada...

This is the BEST of all times!!!.
Thank you for posting it!.
TD has been a strong influence in my life.
I was a passive listener until few months ago. Now I play some electronic music of my own.
Please search on youtube for "Arriving at Chichen-Itza 2012" and "Luz Blanca is Musica Electronica"
Hope you like it.
Peace!!.
