Outstanding, your technique is free-flowing to say the least. I'm beginning to use the two-handed sound myself, hymnals mostly, & alittle Beethoven (Eccosaise in G). What do you recommend to help separate the mind, and fingers? I notice 1 hand is always out of sync.
You are incredibly talented and I really love the way you play. Your passion for music inspires for sure a lot of guitarists. It would have been interesting to hear you play the Chaconne from Partita No.2, BWV1004 by J.S Bach, two hand tapping on a regular guitar. It is one of the most expressive works ever written. It would be perfect for you ^^
Adam, since watching almost every single one of your videos i decided to try something close to your style and did not even come close to the sound you have. i took 4 weeks trying to just be able to play 2 handed scales on one neck of the guitar with both hands. after failing i have realized i have a much greater respect for you and others with your style. im only 15 so i have alot of time on my hands to try to get better.
Wow! I must say this kid is good I left Poland ages ago and I've no idea what's going on there now as far as music is concerned Although I admit that he is very talented I wouldn't say that his technic is as unique as he wants us to believe One of my favorite guitar virtuosos Jennifer Batten started using that technic before he was even borne Now there are many videos on YouTube with other kids tapping with both hands Never the less I wish him all the best
Your head is bobbing a little too sharply for the tape not to have been sped up. The extra speed is not necessary. Don't know why you did that. Otherwise, it's great.
This is great because you're throwing most conventions out the window with your entire technique, and mastering it to make it sound better than the conventional way. Spectacular, and bravo.
Holly shit man , this is really great . Its simply brilliant . I absolutely love the variations and o course the interpretations from Gould . Great great talent boy , Respect !!!
Adam do you take lessons,or did you teach yourself.I've played for 15 years, but I still havent taken any lessons. Are the lessons essential?Tell me about the wraping on the first frets.I heard someone say that they are used to mute the strings & that it makes the sound clearer.
normally on the guitar, when you let go of the string, it rings the open note. when you play a tapping style like adam does, you don't want the strings to ring. he never plays open notes, so he can put something on/behind the strings to stop them from vibrating once he lets go.
string dampener. it's basically a piece of cloth or soft material which literally dampens the strings so they don't ring out when he pulls his finger off the string while tapping.
Take Bach tunes, even simple ;). I wrote an workshop book (English) all about this, it will be released in September. All about independance is in your mind not in your fingers. It's more about counterpoint ear and imagination.
@leftyguitarjoe Independence really isn't independence when you get it down, in general musical terms. It is not as if two parts of your brain are working independently, rather, it learns to combine "blocks" of both hand positions and phrases as single things in sequence. The rhythm ties it together, they are not independent in terms of pulse. Learn it a chunk at a time. I found practicing one hand then the other on piano a waste of time because it never works when you try and put them together

"Yes, classical period's music tends to be like that - not much room for emotions, improvisation and the like. Romatical period is something else. I'd like to see guitarists do covers from that time period."
Bach = Baroque, not classical.
And you can certainly put a certain amount of "feeling" or artistic sensitivity into a Bach piece without having it become a fullblown Romantic affair.
Bach is some of the most emotional music I've ever heard. It's very understated, as if it's too proud to give a big flamboyant display of emotion like in Romantic music.
Good job mate!! You know you are treading the fine line between what is a guitar and what is a keyboard. Which may be what the so called "lute suites" are all about.
Actually, interesting point about the lute suites. It is known that Bach liked to play them on the lautenwerk. He wrote them in standard notation but do you know if he wrote them on bass and treble clef, like a keyboard, or a single stave?
you might be on to something...practice your scales. Seriously amazing, I totally appreciate your technical brilliance but I'm not feeling enough emotion, which is why I listen to music
It's not negative...just constructive criticism. I am amazed at his talent. Certainly he was influenced by Stanley Jordan. Technically he is at the same level or beyond...but Jordan plays with more feel. Everyone has different tastes. I would rather hear 3 notes with passion than 100 techinically perfect notes. I am not saying Fulara has no passion...just that it's the only area of his playing which he could improve...go Adam you're an amazing talent!!
