This cut comes from an album called "SuperBlues" with Bo Diddley, Muddy Waters and Little Walter. It's a classic live studio album from the late '60's. "I'm a Man" has been covered by many bluesmen. I also love the Yardbirds studio cut and many of their live versions.

But this version in so special because Bo and Muddy were friendly rivals and you can get a sense that they are trying to outdo each other.

Both recorded for Chess records and while they had their large egos and differences, they were awesome at blues shows together. My dad took me to a Muddy Waters\Bo Diddley show back in the late 1950's and I've been hooked on blues ever since.
