Then how will he ever learn the names of the several thousand Plutoids? (bodies like Pluto in a similar orbit to Pluto, some of which are larger than Pluto).
You do know some people do not live in America or watch its TV channels, right? Apparently, Poe's Law is still axiomatic.
Yes, I knew once I looked him up, shortly after posting those remarks (which still apply regardless). Would you rather I delete the comment? Nobody else has made the point in the second paragraph. I dont see you offering another mnemonic either...
Thanks CH - but as Ive already stated, your efforts were redundant by the time you made them.
Regarding your question, Ive no objection to factual corrections - though not if theyre in the snide manner of a wannabe smartarse. I also find Americans who forget other countries exist objectionable. Thats off-topic in this forum though.
I suggested earlier that this effort might be better spent raising awareness of how and why planets were re-categorised. What do you think about that, CH?
A desire to understand the reasoning behind the reclassification of Pluto is, unfortunately, beyond most American's interest. Regardless I personally find it quite interesting and a very good example of how the scientific community is constantly updating it's own ideas. Again i apologize for my apparently snide remarks but I am quite worried that you may be taking all this a little to seriously. It is a youtube comment section after all. Cheers.
I just realized .. thats a TV behind him ,, lol

the one I learned in school is Many Vampires eat marshmallow jelly sandwiches under nine plates.
marshmallow has "mars" right there at the beginning, so as not to confuse the two m planets.

Wow, such an incredibly dumb objection. Think of a new mnemonic if it bothers you that much.
Understanding why the new categorisation is better is a lot more important than remembering the names anyway...

I apologize for attempting to clear up a misunderstanding you seemed to have. Would you rather I had let you remain ignorant of the video' context?
