I don't agree with your list. Only 1 song from Rising? Where is Tarot Woman of Run with the Wolf? What about Holy Diver, Heaven & Hell, Rainbow in the Dark or Temple of the King?

Anyway, there is a lot of great songs of him.

Don't Tal to Stranges is fucking awesome, pretty good list, but I'd probably add Heaven and Hell, Computer God and especially All the Fools Sailed Away.

part 2: from other projects: Sitting on a dream, homeward bound-from Glover's Butterfly ball. Mask of Great Deceiver, Live for the King- from Kelly Livegreen solo album. I heard his pre Elf stuff 1958-1970 but nothign really rates that high, some catchy stuff though like West Virginia

@KubrickLives He did some great stuff with Elves/Elf, "You Felt the Same Way", "Wonderworld", "Simple Man". I also love the Butterfly Ball work. I also love "Falling Off the Edge of the World". Dio had such a large body of great work, it's tough to pick out the best of it.

Pain - Errrrrrrrr - - - - great choice. Man is he angry!!!! I think all with rainbow and his first 2 are all pure. (they are given as great).

And #1 is...... Stargazer. - - -- - - -Good choice. The band is so heavy - Listen to the drums. RIP - a different drummer would have changed everything. (But I think - - I must stop talking about the 70's) (Did you ever hear Fat time my miles?) - - - - Thanks for the music. Dio Rules
