Omigod! I thought this was a Vietnamese production! If you think his singing here was good, you should hear him sing live. He'll blow you away. :) I was talking to him over the phone while I watching this vid and he said he wasn't even happy with his performance here. Or maybe his standards for himself are just too high. :) He's a student at the UP College of Music btw.

Wow, isko din pala. I'm a UP fresh graduate din from Eng'g. I'll probably stop by abelardo hall more often now and see if he has any upcoming performances. I'm also a big fan of the UPCC and UPSA. Ervin is like the Josh Groban of the Philippines. But I think he's more of a baritone in this performance than a tenor coz he falsettoed the high notes. I really want to see him sing bigger songs.

If you're interested, he will be singing before the diplomatic community this Thursday at RCBC Makati --- original compositions by Dr. Adolofo Bellosillo -- with lyrics about heart disease (LOL) in a full-length musicale. It'll be at 7 PM, free admission.

He'll have his fourth and final recital at Abelardo hall on March 31, 2009. I think he plans to do "The Barber of Seville". =)
