Obama isn’t deviating from whatever script he has been given though. After bungling the BP oil spill response, all he could do is send down lawyers to see who he could sue. He then imposed an illegal moratorium on drilling that cost countless jobs. He won’t allow drilling anywhere else either. Gas prices are rising, just as he wants. He wants to take away tax incentives to oil companies.
Gas prices will rise even more. Just as he wants. Remember a few years ago when gas was over $4 is only lament was that the prices rose so fast, not that they rose at all.
Whatever laws Obama is breaking is being addressed though. He’s had the opportunity to install two Supreme Court justices, one with an admittedly race-based mindset, and another that actually worked for him. Hardly and objective couple.
But then Barack Obama isn’t looking for objectivity. He’s looking for social justice, an answer to a perceived whitey cabal, and someone who will tow the agenda line, no questions asked. He’s got both of those things in his SC picks.
The behind the scenes names are just as bad, and may even be worse though. We know that the State Department is stocked with terror sympathizers, the Justice Department prosecutes cases based on race-unless you happen to be white, and he has gaggle of czars that formulate policy that will be imposed on all of us. Congress has defunded those czars, but that budget hasn’t-and will not be signed by Obama, so it remains to be seen what happens with those unelected officials.
Did I miss something? I’m sure I did. If I can come up with this off the top of my head, imagine what else lurks in this regime. In fact, there are other things coming to mind as I write this. How about busing in union goons to Wisconsin to defy the will of the people? Once again, Obama shows his contempt for the American people.
The fictitious climate change fraud. The United Nations coddling. The bailouts that he blames on George Bush, although it is he that implemented them. But then, he did say change, didn’t he? Well, here it is, textbook contempt for America.

President Obama blames the bad economy on the “wealthy” who are not paying their “fair” share of taxes, not on the 46% of the population who pay “no” taxes while receiving all kinds of benefits from those that do.
Since when has it become a crime in America to become successful financially? Isn’t that the American dream, and what separates us from all other countries, individual freedom to succeed and to have economic freedom to do so?
FACT Just think of all the many thousands of innovators and entrepreneurs who have made this country the world leader for us all, while achieving their own success
He espouses economic equality, just like the socialists and communists have always done before him. A failed economic theory that has never worked, in which the most productive are suppose to support the least.
All under government supervised outcomes which are never achieved. He wants the government to redistribute the earnings and wealth of our citizens based upon what bureaucrats in Washington think is “fair”, through manipulation of the tax system.
He is the first president to preside over our government that has not proposed or passed a budget for almost three years. He appoints a bipartisan committee to come up with ways to reduce our debt and get us on the road to fiscal soundness, and then has totally ignored their proposed economic fixes, and yet, refused to offer his own.
He has taken no steps to help put us on the road to energy independence, other than to waste a trillion dollars of taxpayer money on failed clean energy business attempts, while he has stopped the building of the Keystone pipeline, bowing to environmental support.
He blames all his woes on the other party, or the past president, and does not take any responsibility for his own inaction and ineffectiveness as the leader he promised us he would be. His every action is to promote his reelection and promote the weakening of our country while promoting the ideas of his past anti American mentors.
@CherryBombsAway1 Failed Obama tripled the deficit. Failed Obama raised unemployment. Failed Obama put more people on food stamps than any other president. If you really want to light the fuse of a liberal Democrat, compare Barack Obama's economic performance after 30 months in office with that of Ronald Reagan. It's not at all flattering for Mr. Obama.
The two presidents have a lot in common. Both inherited an American economy in collapse. And both applied daring, expensive remedies.
Mr. Reagan passed the biggest tax cut ever, combined with an agenda of deregulation, monetary restraint and spending controls. Mr. Obama, of course, has given us a $1 trillion spending stimulus.
By the end of the summer of Reagan's third year in office, the economy was soaring. The GDP growth rate was 5% and racing toward 7%, even 8% growth. In 1983 and '84 output was growing so fast the biggest worry was that the economy would "overheat." In the summer of 2011 we have an economy limping along at barely 1% growth and by some indications headed toward a double-dip recession.By the end of Reagan's first term, it was Morning in America. Today there is gloomy talk of America in its twilight
My purpose here is not more Reagan idolatry, but to point out an incontrovertible truth: One program for recovery worked, and the other hasn't.
The Reagan philosophy was to incentivize production—i.e., the "supply side" of the economy—by lowering restraints on business expansion and investment. This was done by slashing marginal income tax rates, eliminating regulatory high hurdles, and reining in inflation with a tighter monetary policy.
The Keynesians in the early 1980s assured us that the Reagan expansion would not and could not happen. Rapid growth with new jobs and falling rates of inflation (to 4% in 1983 from 13% in 1980) is an impossibility in Keynesian textbooks. If you increase demand, prices go up. If you increase supply—as Reagan did—prices go down.
The Godfather of the neo-Keynesians, Paul Samuelson, was the lead critic of the supposed follies of Reaganomics. He wrote in a 1980 Newsweek column that to slay the inflation monster would take "five to ten years of austerity," with unemployment of 8% or 9% and real output of "barely 1 or 2 percent."
Reaganomics was routinely ridiculed in the media, especially in the 1982 recession. That was the year MIT economist Lester Thurow famously said, "The engines of economic growth have shut down here and across the globe, and they are likely to stay that way for years to come."
The economy would soon take flight for more than 80 consecutive months. Then the Reagan critics declared what they once thought couldn't work was actually a textbook Keynesian expansion fueled by budget deficits of $200 billion a year, or about 4%-5% of GDP.
Robert Reich, now at the University of California, Berkeley, explained that "The recession of 1981-82 was so severe that the bounce back has been vigorous." Paul Krugman wrote in 2004 that the Reagan boom was really nothing special because: "You see, rapid growth is normal when an economy is bouncing back from a deep slump."
Mr. Krugman was, for once, at least partly right. How could Reagan not look good after four years of Jimmy Carter's economic malpractice?
Fast-forward to today. Mr. Obama is running deficits of $1.3 trillion, or 8%-9% of GDP. If the Reagan deficits powered the '80s expansion, the Obama deficits—twice as large—should have the U.S. sprinting at Olympic speed.
The left has now embraced a new theory to explain why the Obama spending hasn't worked. The answer is contained in the book "This Time Is Different," by economists Carmen Reinhart and Kenneth Rogoff. Published in 2009, the book examines centuries of recessions and depressions world-wide. The authors conclude that it takes nations much longer—six years or more—to recover from financial crises and the popping of asset bubbles than from typical recessions.
In any case, what Reagan inherited was arguably a more severe financial crisis than what was dropped in Mr. Obama's lap. You don't believe it? From 1967 to 1982 stocks lost two-thirds of their value relative to inflation, according to a new report from Laffer Associates. That mass liquidation of wealth was a first-rate financial calamity. And tell me that 20% mortgage interest rates, as we saw in the 1970s, aren't indicative of a monetary-policy meltdown.
There is something that is genuinely different this time. It isn't the nature of the crisis Mr. Obama inherited, but the nature of his policy prescriptions. Reagan applied tax cuts and other policies that, yes, took the deficit to unchartered peacetime highs.
But that borrowing financed a remarkable and prolonged economic expansion and a victory against the Evil Empire in the Cold War. What exactly have Mr. Obama's deficits gotten us?
Well, those of you who know me well know that I constantly say that I am “bi-partisan,” meaning by that oft-overused phrase within American politics, that I loathe both the Dummycrooks and the Republithugs equally. Those of you who know my deep cynicism about the state of American politics and “culture” in general also know that I am loathe to comment much about it. I do not consider myself politically informed, much less in a position to comment about it.
But with the recent circus – one I believe to be wholly contrived incidentally – over raising the debt ceiling of American sovereign debt, and now with even the political left casting glances askance at our do-nothing President who has saddled us with a health-care monster in the middle of the night in closed session, I feel impelled to set the record straight on something.
There is a school of thought out there on the internet and in certain quarters, that viewed the election of Barack Obama in almost messianic tones, and that has parsed his actions according to a model that views him as part of some hidden “good elite,” and that we’ll see his true colors shortly, that he really is on our side, that he really does know what to do, and is sending clear signals to the corrupt bankers.
There is a school of thought that viewed his election as a manifestation of a hyperdimensional physics and that a transformation of consciousness was soon to dawn in golden glory over a beleagured humanity, all heralded by B. O. and the stunning symbolism of his presidential campaign symbolism, including the Eye of Horus.
This man has no plan, other than to go on vacations and bus tours while the country’s economy melts down, while “Obamacare” looms over us all. If there is anything hyper-dimensional about B.O., it is that he has been a hyper-dimensional failure. I am willing to remain open that perhaps some “miracle” will occur and that he will wake up, see the error of some of his policies, and reverse course.
If he does, it will not be because he is some messiah, but human, and humans change their minds. But that does not make him a messiah, a manifestation of the physics of the universe, nor does it make him a consciousness changing event.
But let me be clear, once again, in case you missed it: I have not, do not, and will never, ascribe to this man and his presidency any views even approaching a coronation of him as some sort of messiah. That he is not, has never been, and will never be.
I was convinced these people are idiots when they answered "Sarah Palin" for the "Which candidate won their first election by getting all of their opponents kicked off the ballot?" question. That's the same as picking E on an ABCD multiple choice.
@TheMaineShow1 Ridiculous. This video is BULLSHIT. That you can't recognize that this same video could have been made about the supporters of ANY candidate convinces me of YOUR idiocy, TheMaineDunce.
Please learn what thyself means before making yourself look like a idiot again. I'm done arguing with idiocy. I'm clearing too smart for you. Now, go show what a tool you are by responding to this.
Ideologues on the left are fond of attributing Obama's political free fall to his behaving like an "overintellectualized professor" who, having failed to convince the public about the exquisite excellence of his solutions to the nation's problems, dooms himself to making outrageous compromises with an opposition populated by "blockheads" who "boast about their vacuity." (quotes from Maureen Dowd, NYT)
The truth, however, is quite different; for as his empty, high-sounding rhetoric has long revealed, Obama is nothing more than a true-believing liberal whose resume contains not a single important achievement, let alone one requiring exemplary leadership "in the Arena" of TR's real world, where a person's "face is marred by dust and sweat and blood."
Add to that vacuum the reality that we can borrow from F. Scott Fitzgerald to say youthful Barry invented just the sort of Barack Obama a person infatuated with the vast, vulgar, pretentiousness of leftist ideology would be likely to invent, and the president's failures become remarkably unsurprising, though no less pernicious.
Following is an enumeration of the worst of those failures one date at a time, the list representing an astounding tribute to the human capacity for perverse irony, given candidate Obama's penchant for using "high sentence" to promise America a brave new world bubbling with the effervescence of hope and change.

GAO: Full Recoup of Government Investment in GM, Chrysler Unlikely(Obama hands our money to unions)
A Government Accountability Office report released Monday is the latest review to cast doubt on the likelihood that taxpayers will fully recoup more than $80 billion invested in the two U.S. automakers.
Government investigators say the U.S. government is unlikely to recover all of its investment in General Motors or Chrysler because the companies’ value would need to “grow substantially above what they have been in the past.”
A Government Accountability Office report released Monday is the latest review to cast doubt on the likelihood that taxpayers will fully recoup more than $80 billion invested in the two U.S. automakers.
Treasury officials told the GAO that they are considering initial public offerings or private sales to dispose of the government’s nearly 10 percent stake in Chrysler and 61 percent share of GM. But government officials won’t say when that could happen because they don’t want to undermine the potential return on the investment.
The report comes on the same day Ford – which did not take government bailout funds – reported a $1 billion net income in the third quarter and forecast a “solidly profitable” 2011.
Ford, the only Detroit automaker to dodge direct government aid and bankruptcy court, said Monday that earnings were fueled by U.S. market share gains, cost cuts and the Cash for Clunkers program, which drew flocks of buyers to showrooms this summer. Ford’s stock rose 40 cents, or 5.7 percent, to $7.40 in pre-market trading.
The latest results signal that Ford’s turnaround is on more solid ground. The company lost more than $14.6 billion last year and hasn’t posted a full-year profit since 2005. While it made a profit in the second quarter, that was mainly due to debt reductions that cut its interest payments.
god most of his voters were morons, yet the adults are the idiots who voted for him adn they blame us kids teens hat are future ruined yet i think we might be the solution.

Maybe for Wright and some others, Farrakhan "epitomized greatness." For most Americans, though, Farrakhan epitomizes racism, particularly in the form of anti-Semitism. Over the years, he has compiled an awesome record of offensive statements, even denigrating the Holocaust by falsely attributing it to Jewish cooperation with Hitler -- "They helped him get the Third Reich on the road." His history is a rancid stew of lies.
Barack Obama is a member of Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ. Its minister, and Obama's spiritual adviser, is the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. In 1982, the church launched Trumpet Newsmagazine; Wright's daughters serve as publisher and executive editor. Every year, the magazine makes awards in various categories. Last year, it gave the Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. Trumpeter Award to a man it said "truly epitomized greatness." That man is Louis Farrakhan.

OBAMA A PROVEN FAILURE
SpartenGreek 1 week ago
FACT
President Obama blames the bad economy on the “wealthy” who are not paying their “fair” share of taxes, not on the 46% of the population who pay “no” taxes while receiving all kinds of benefits from those that do.
SpartenGreek 1 week ago
FACT
Since when has it become a crime in America to become successful financially? Isn’t that the American dream, and what separates us from all other countries, individual freedom to succeed and to have economic freedom to do so?
SpartenGreek 1 week ago
FACT Just think of all the many thousands of innovators and entrepreneurs who have made this country the world leader for us all, while achieving their own success
SpartenGreek 1 week ago
FACT
He espouses economic equality, just like the socialists and communists have always done before him. A failed economic theory that has never worked, in which the most productive are suppose to support the least.
SpartenGreek 1 week ago
FACT
All under government supervised outcomes which are never achieved. He wants the government to redistribute the earnings and wealth of our citizens based upon what bureaucrats in Washington think is “fair”, through manipulation of the tax system.
SpartenGreek 1 week ago
FACT
He is the first president to preside over our government that has not proposed or passed a budget for almost three years. He appoints a bipartisan committee to come up with ways to reduce our debt and get us on the road to fiscal soundness, and then has totally ignored their proposed economic fixes, and yet, refused to offer his own.
SpartenGreek 1 week ago
FACT
He has taken no steps to help put us on the road to energy independence, other than to waste a trillion dollars of taxpayer money on failed clean energy business attempts, while he has stopped the building of the Keystone pipeline, bowing to environmental support.
SpartenGreek 1 week ago
FACT
He blames all his woes on the other party, or the past president, and does not take any responsibility for his own inaction and ineffectiveness as the leader he promised us he would be. His every action is to promote his reelection and promote the weakening of our country while promoting the ideas of his past anti American mentors.

PurpleBudavolRevenge 1 week ago
Mr. Reagan passed the biggest tax cut ever, combined with an agenda of deregulation, monetary restraint and spending controls. Mr. Obama, of course, has given us a $1 trillion spending stimulus.
PurpleBudavolRevenge 1 week ago
By the end of the summer of Reagan's third year in office, the economy was soaring. The GDP growth rate was 5% and racing toward 7%, even 8% growth. In 1983 and '84 output was growing so fast the biggest worry was that the economy would "overheat." In the summer of 2011 we have an economy limping along at barely 1% growth and by some indications headed toward a double-dip recession.By the end of Reagan's first term, it was Morning in America. Today there is gloomy talk of America in its twilight
PurpleBudavolRevenge 1 week ago
My purpose here is not more Reagan idolatry, but to point out an incontrovertible truth: One program for recovery worked, and the other hasn't.
The Reagan philosophy was to incentivize production—i.e., the "supply side" of the economy—by lowering restraints on business expansion and investment. This was done by slashing marginal income tax rates, eliminating regulatory high hurdles, and reining in inflation with a tighter monetary policy.
PurpleBudavolRevenge 1 week ago
Ronald Reagan talks taxes, 1981.
PurpleBudavolRevenge 1 week ago
The Godfather of the neo-Keynesians, Paul Samuelson, was the lead critic of the supposed follies of Reaganomics. He wrote in a 1980 Newsweek column that to slay the inflation monster would take "five to ten years of austerity," with unemployment of 8% or 9% and real output of "barely 1 or 2 percent."
PurpleBudavolRevenge 1 week ago
Reaganomics was routinely ridiculed in the media, especially in the 1982 recession. That was the year MIT economist Lester Thurow famously said, "The engines of economic growth have shut down here and across the globe, and they are likely to stay that way for years to come."
PurpleBudavolRevenge 1 week ago
The economy would soon take flight for more than 80 consecutive months. Then the Reagan critics declared what they once thought couldn't work was actually a textbook Keynesian expansion fueled by budget deficits of $200 billion a year, or about 4%-5% of GDP.
PurpleBudavolRevenge 1 week ago
Robert Reich, now at the University of California, Berkeley, explained that "The recession of 1981-82 was so severe that the bounce back has been vigorous." Paul Krugman wrote in 2004 that the Reagan boom was really nothing special because: "You see, rapid growth is normal when an economy is bouncing back from a deep slump."
PurpleBudavolRevenge 1 week ago
PurpleBudavolRevenge 1 week ago
The left has now embraced a new theory to explain why the Obama spending hasn't worked. The answer is contained in the book "This Time Is Different," by economists Carmen Reinhart and Kenneth Rogoff. Published in 2009, the book examines centuries of recessions and depressions world-wide. The authors conclude that it takes nations much longer—six years or more—to recover from financial crises and the popping of asset bubbles than from typical recessions.
PurpleBudavolRevenge 1 week ago
In any case, what Reagan inherited was arguably a more severe financial crisis than what was dropped in Mr. Obama's lap. You don't believe it? From 1967 to 1982 stocks lost two-thirds of their value relative to inflation, according to a new report from Laffer Associates. That mass liquidation of wealth was a first-rate financial calamity. And tell me that 20% mortgage interest rates, as we saw in the 1970s, aren't indicative of a monetary-policy meltdown.
PurpleBudavolRevenge 1 week ago
There is something that is genuinely different this time. It isn't the nature of the crisis Mr. Obama inherited, but the nature of his policy prescriptions. Reagan applied tax cuts and other policies that, yes, took the deficit to unchartered peacetime highs.
PurpleBudavolRevenge 1 week ago

PoPoopalace2 1 week ago
But with the recent circus – one I believe to be wholly contrived incidentally – over raising the debt ceiling of American sovereign debt, and now with even the political left casting glances askance at our do-nothing President who has saddled us with a health-care monster in the middle of the night in closed session, I feel impelled to set the record straight on something.
PoPoopalace2 1 week ago
There is a school of thought out there on the internet and in certain quarters, that viewed the election of Barack Obama in almost messianic tones, and that has parsed his actions according to a model that views him as part of some hidden “good elite,” and that we’ll see his true colors shortly, that he really is on our side, that he really does know what to do, and is sending clear signals to the corrupt bankers.
PoPoopalace2 1 week ago
There is a school of thought that viewed his election as a manifestation of a hyperdimensional physics and that a transformation of consciousness was soon to dawn in golden glory over a beleagured humanity, all heralded by B. O. and the stunning symbolism of his presidential campaign symbolism, including the Eye of Horus.
PoPoopalace2 1 week ago
I have not, have never, and will never, subscribe to the view that any political figure is deserving of such messianic characteristics and adulation.
PoPoopalace2 1 week ago
This man has no plan, other than to go on vacations and bus tours while the country’s economy melts down, while “Obamacare” looms over us all. If there is anything hyper-dimensional about B.O., it is that he has been a hyper-dimensional failure. I am willing to remain open that perhaps some “miracle” will occur and that he will wake up, see the error of some of his policies, and reverse course.
PoPoopalace2 1 week ago
If he does, it will not be because he is some messiah, but human, and humans change their minds. But that does not make him a messiah, a manifestation of the physics of the universe, nor does it make him a consciousness changing event.
PoPoopalace2 1 week ago
But let me be clear, once again, in case you missed it: I have not, do not, and will never, ascribe to this man and his presidency any views even approaching a coronation of him as some sort of messiah. That he is not, has never been, and will never be.

Ideologues on the left are fond of attributing Obama's political free fall to his behaving like an "overintellectualized professor" who, having failed to convince the public about the exquisite excellence of his solutions to the nation's problems, dooms himself to making outrageous compromises with an opposition populated by "blockheads" who "boast about their vacuity." (quotes from Maureen Dowd, NYT)
figfagthis 1 week ago
The truth, however, is quite different; for as his empty, high-sounding rhetoric has long revealed, Obama is nothing more than a true-believing liberal whose resume contains not a single important achievement, let alone one requiring exemplary leadership "in the Arena" of TR's real world, where a person's "face is marred by dust and sweat and blood."
figfagthis 1 week ago
Add to that vacuum the reality that we can borrow from F. Scott Fitzgerald to say youthful Barry invented just the sort of Barack Obama a person infatuated with the vast, vulgar, pretentiousness of leftist ideology would be likely to invent, and the president's failures become remarkably unsurprising, though no less pernicious.
figfagthis 1 week ago
Following is an enumeration of the worst of those failures one date at a time, the list representing an astounding tribute to the human capacity for perverse irony, given candidate Obama's penchant for using "high sentence" to promise America a brave new world bubbling with the effervescence of hope and change.

GAO: Full Recoup of Government Investment in GM, Chrysler Unlikely(Obama hands our money to unions)
A Government Accountability Office report released Monday is the latest review to cast doubt on the likelihood that taxpayers will fully recoup more than $80 billion invested in the two U.S. automakers.
TheTheAlphaOmega 1 week ago
Government investigators say the U.S. government is unlikely to recover all of its investment in General Motors or Chrysler because the companies’ value would need to “grow substantially above what they have been in the past.”
TheTheAlphaOmega 1 week ago
A Government Accountability Office report released Monday is the latest review to cast doubt on the likelihood that taxpayers will fully recoup more than $80 billion invested in the two U.S. automakers.
TheTheAlphaOmega 1 week ago
Treasury officials told the GAO that they are considering initial public offerings or private sales to dispose of the government’s nearly 10 percent stake in Chrysler and 61 percent share of GM. But government officials won’t say when that could happen because they don’t want to undermine the potential return on the investment.
TheTheAlphaOmega 1 week ago
The report comes on the same day Ford – which did not take government bailout funds – reported a $1 billion net income in the third quarter and forecast a “solidly profitable” 2011.
TheTheAlphaOmega 1 week ago
Ford, the only Detroit automaker to dodge direct government aid and bankruptcy court, said Monday that earnings were fueled by U.S. market share gains, cost cuts and the Cash for Clunkers program, which drew flocks of buyers to showrooms this summer. Ford’s stock rose 40 cents, or 5.7 percent, to $7.40 in pre-market trading.
TheTheAlphaOmega 1 week ago
The latest results signal that Ford’s turnaround is on more solid ground. The company lost more than $14.6 billion last year and hasn’t posted a full-year profit since 2005. While it made a profit in the second quarter, that was mainly due to debt reductions that cut its interest payments.

SpartenGreek 1 week ago
Barack Obama is a member of Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ. Its minister, and Obama's spiritual adviser, is the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. In 1982, the church launched Trumpet Newsmagazine; Wright's daughters serve as publisher and executive editor. Every year, the magazine makes awards in various categories. Last year, it gave the Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. Trumpeter Award to a man it said "truly epitomized greatness." That man is Louis Farrakhan.
