  • Come on barringer, work your audio magic like you did for the Kubrick vid!

  • hey now...

I know you know where you can watch it

  • @barringer82 what about tommy devito from goodfellas, i know most people dont consider him a villain but he kinda of is if you think about it

  • @jackstein104 You Think??!! Also Jimmy Conway is kind of a villain as well and probably more dangerous than Tommy.

  • haha i love how dr. evil is in there.

  • Does anyone know if there is a site like YouTube used to be? Where you can hear the audio? Danke.

  • haha youtube sold out to the corporations.

its no longer Youtube, but Theirtube

  • welcome to reality..... unfortunatly

  • è proprio un ottimo lavoro ma perfavore fallo con una musica che youtube accetti così lo possiamo vedere in santa pace!!

  • erm... is velmy kelly a villain?

  • A double-murder inmate who wants to use her fame to get out of jail, willing to do anything after a while to get her way? Yeah, sounds pretty nasty.

  • Well, Times are tough. Even the music videos with no audio are becoming frequent. If it goes on as it is now, youtube will lose one more account:Mine.

  • Bullshit Youtube! This site is going down the fucking tubes!

  • Too bad it didn't include Little Bill Daggett from "Unforgiven". Great Video, though.

  • who is it at 00:009

i just call her scarymaze girl but what movie is it from??

  • what are you fucking kidding me, The Excorsist!

  • I Dont The Movie But I call her the scary maze girl as well

  • which is the other with Dennis Hopper?

  • The second Hopper is Howard Payne from "Speed."

  • GREAT ending!!

  • Very good job. I'm sending you a response with a cold villain who does anything, ruins a family, everything to get attention: Ingrid Bergman in Intermezzo.

  • Great video! You added villains I almost forgot like Fernando Rey in French Connection and John Houston in Chinatown.

  • what's the movie at 0:30 ?

  • dick tracy, well i think so.

  • I would really like to know who the fat sheriff at 1:43 is? It relaly bugs me, because I can't place him.

  • Ned Beatty

    "White Lightning"

  • Terrific, just ismply amazing video. I've seen it 4 times since yesterday. I can't get the song out of my head--it might be the best song for a montage I've ever heard.

I wish I could do my own villain montage--but I'd be afraid to fail the urge to use this song.

  • Great video!

  • i love the variaty

  • This is a special video for cinema. One can like the good guys but the villains impress more. But I miss Ed Harris as Christof in the Truman Show. He was the best, worst villain I ever saw.

  • Nicholson - Batman and Shining

Washington - American Gangster and Training Day

  • what is the film at 0:48 called? the one after a clockwork orange?

  • hell raiser?

  • Hellraiser III

  • sorry, i wanted to ask for 0:43, after a clockwork orange, the two-faced one with the baseballbat.

  • The Warriors

  • I love the video, especially all the obscure villains from older films not many people would know about.

I don't like the song though - as an Australian it brings up alot of really sensitive issues about our country such as slavery and the mistreatment of the Aboriginal people. It's not something anyone should really sing a funny song about.

  • amazing!!

  • wat about venom two-face and chuckie

  • You can't fit everyone in, but I really would have loved to see Clarence Boddicker from "Robocop", that guy was a first class shithead.

  • I saw Kevin Spacey about 3 times, John Malkovitch twice, Robert DeNiro 3 times, Dennis Hopper twice, Tom Cruise twice, any other actors that appeared more than once?

  • Jack Nicholson, and I think Denzel Washington

  • Is 1:28 "My Bloody Valentine"?

  • it is

  • what are these films, 1:08, 1:05, 1:54. thanks

  • 1:08 is Audition

    1:05 is Die Hard

    1:54 is Tha Bad Lieutenant

  • i love this movie it owns thank you but no ridler ?

  • nice collection of some of the best bad guys in cinema history. Where's Kizer Sozay from The Usual Suspects?

  • 2:24

thank you for your kind words

  • well, yes you are right! S

    Sorry for that.

  • At least you put Benoit Poolveorde in Man bites dog, a belgium movie. I think it is the only non-american movie.

    It still a good video.

  • No there's Audition and The Cook The Thief His Wife & Her Lover, amongst others.

  • omgosh... SO GREAT!!! Honestly, I loved it. I have to skip the beginning mainly because of Regen.. O__o""

but.. way to include the classics. Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window.. such a great one.

  • 1:29?

  • Fantastic ending!

  • 1:08 what movie was that? idk if i've seen that one... nice work on the editing too! nice to hear some zevon

  • audition

  • So I caught everyone one of those except 1:28,1:42,2:10, and 2:25.

  • 2:25 was Keyser Soze (or what he could have potentially looked like) from The Usual Suspects.

  • Bobby Peru, Shredder, Ma Fratelli, Bill Lumberg, Otis Driftwood and Baby Firefly, Lars Thorwald, Ordell Robbie, Frank Miller (?), Max Cady, Derek Vineyard, Joker, Anton Chigurh.

missed a few, but perhaps someone can fill the spaces? :D

  • I just want to say that "Frank Miller" on your list is actually Liberty Valance (Lee Marvin) from "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance".

Other than that, good attempt at writing a list for the readers! Some of the missing names in your list seem to be scattered around the comments section too.

  • Tony Montana, Freddy, Dr. Evil, Stuntman Mike, Michael Myers, Henry, Frank Booth, Bill, Jason Vorhees, Cal Hockley, -, Leonard Smalls, Walter Finch, Vincent, Howard Payne, Catherine Tramell, Teddy KGB, Biff Tannen, -, Judge Smails, -, Scarecrow, Gaear Grimsrud, -, -, Ernie McCracken, -, Toothless Man, Penguin, Neil McCauley, -, -, Mrs. Robinson, Doc Ock, -, Tooth Fairy, Kaiser Sose, Blake, Tyler Durden, Cruella DeVille, Catwoman, -, Magneto, Gozer, Buffalo Bill, -, -, Velma Kelly, Alonzo Harris

  • Flattop (Dick Tracy), Colin Sullivan (The Departed), Jack Torrance (The Shining), Hannibal Lector (Silence of the Lambs), T-1000 (Terminator 2), Candyman, Captain Hook, Alex (A Clockwork Orange), Baseball Furies (The Warriors), -, Mr Blonde (Reservoir Dogs), Pinhead (Hellraiser), John Doe (Se7en), Dean Trumbell (Punch Drunk Love), Jigsaw (Saw), -, Hal (2001), Leatherface, Gordon Gekko (Wall Street), Darth Vader, Hans Gruber (Die Hard), The Joker (Dark Knight), Asami Yamazaki (Audition)

  • why the hell was wizard of oz in this thats not a horror movie

  • most of them aren't horror movies.

    I don't get your question

  • Man, you missed the whole point of the video.

  • Neither are most of these movies.

  • that's all I have time for so far.

  • Can anyone name the characters that appear in order of this video and the movie they came from?

  • Lemme give it a shot: Patrick Bateman (American Psycho), Regan (The Exorcist), Dr. Szell (Marathon Man), Nurse Ratched (One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest), Noah Cross (Chinatown), Dracula (1931 and 1992 Dracula), Lioncourt (Interview With A Vampire), Harry Powell (Night of the Hunter), Witch (Wizard of Oz), Bill the Butcher (Gangs of New York), Terry Benedict (Ocean's Eleven), Norman Bates (Psycho), Buddy (Swimming with Sharks), I forget his name (French Connection), Frank Lucas (American Gangster)

  • The villian from Psycho gave me the creeps...

  • How come you didn't include Harrison Ford from The Conversation?

  • this is a video that I can actually admit to forgetting stuff.

& the one I'm truly upset bout forgetting is ralph fiennes in schindler

  • THAT is one that never should be forgotten.

    But you are forgiven.

  • Love the clip choice for 0:50

    fits the music perfectly

  • This is a great compilation!

  • i love alex delarge

  • Albert Spica at 1:56. My favorite villain of all-time. That alone makes this video great.

  • I don't recognize all of those villains but i know 1 thing!!!

JOKER IS THE BEST OS ALL OF THEM- Heath Ledger's

  • WHERES BEETLEJUICE?

  • who is that at 1:08 and 2:44?

  • I don't know who the person at 1:08 is, but the person 2:44 is Buffalo Bill from Silence of the lambs.

  • 1:08 was from the movie "Audition".

I don't know her name either.

  • This is such a great video. I recognized waaay too many of those films. XD

  • great video .

  • awesome video man long live the villains

  • Awsome Vid.

  • Anton Chigurh what a fitting end to this compilation. I pleased pleased to see Robin Williams' character from Chris Nolan's Insomnia. Nice.

  • he's from the usual suspects movie,he's not really the villain, well he is,till the ending.Cant explain it,you have to see the movie.

  • scarecrow!!!

  • Gordon Gekko is possibly one of the evilist characters on the list

  • Great list!

  • Alright The Best Villain On The List Is Without A Doubt Heath Ledger's Portrayal Of The Joker, But The Rest Are Still Awesome, But The New Joker Will Rain Supreme!

  • No way!.The best is Alex from clockwork orange.Bet you dont know half od those villains.

  • Alex Delarge from Stanley Kubricks A Clockwork Orange, Beats People up, and rapes a man's wife. I have seen A Clockwork Orange dude I freaking own the dvd, I know what I'm talking about. He's awesome, but doesn't beat the Joker. I do know more than half of these villains. I saw three Kubrick villains on there. HAL9000, Jack Torence, and Alex Delarge. At the end is the Jack Nicholsen Joker, who doesn't compare to Heath Ledger's portrayal. Alex is in top 5, but he's not the top villain.

  • wow wow wow.You wanna compare jokers?.Thats fucking stupid.they are so different jack and ledger. Its whether you prefer jack or ledger, not who is better.

  • sum don't really even fit on there, like Bill Lumberg from Office Space, Dr. Evil from Austin Powers, Keser Soze from the usual suspects who wasn't really in the movie, except for the parts where he's verbal Kent, but there still good. They got Hannibal Lecter Silence of the lambs, and Nurse Ratchet from One flew over the cuckoos nest. I like Mr. Blonde from Resevoir Dogs, even he isn't like a real villain, he's more of a bad guy, but not relly a villain.

  • Joker, Tony Montana, Alex Delarge, T1000 (Terminator 2), Everybody from Resevoir Dogs cuzz they all freakin own, Vincent and Jules from Pulp Fiction, are among my favorites, and I have many many more, but the Joker is better than Alex Delarge, not that Alex Delarge isn't awesome, he just didn't beat the Joker.

  • Oh, and Joe Pesci from both Goodfellas AND Casino, srry if i can't remember the names exactly, but he rocked

  • Damn, Barringer82, you're a genius!

  • Top three, in order of evilness:

    3) Otis Driftwood

    2) Alex DeLarge

    1) Patrick Bateman

  • Do you think I need to go to a psichiatrist? I like all the villains.

  • haha lumberg

  • This is so incredible, my jaw dropped the whole freakin' time!

  • Really awesome, but where's Roy Batty of Blade Runner?

  • Well, poor Roy wasn`t really evil. He had good reasons ;).

  • Ya, thinking back on it you're right. I have to suggest Dr. Decker from Nightbreed though.

  • ok, can you please put the song mp3 up to download?? I tried looking for THIS version of the song, and I can't find it ANYWHERE! not even itunes has THIS version.

please if you could do this, it would be greatly appreciated!

  • Fantastic stuff. I love that you included Jimmy Serrano from Midnight Run. That's one of my all-time favorites.

But I have to ask what the clips as at 1:43 and 1:56. Those are the only two I can't identify.

  • I recognised 91 movies.

  • Paul, this video has introduced my to the genius of Mr Zevon. I've started listening to his other songs which are brilliant.

    Thankees for that.

  • I like how the song talks about the seven deadly sins, then there's kevin spacey from Seven!

  • barringer, this is one of your bests.

  • This is one of my favorite videos on youtube. There's something so appealing about everyone's favorite murderers, sadists, robbers, rapists and thugs set to a great song.

  • Good to see some Blue Velvet in here. And the Shredder moment gave me flashbacks...I think that Agent Sands from Once Upon A Time In Mexico would have fit in well, too.

  • Uhhh...What are 2:09, and 2:12?

  • I don't know guy at 2:09 but at 2:12 is Ben Kingsley from "Sexy Beast"

  • The actor at 2:09 looks to be Jimmy Smits. I don't know the movie, though.

  • Probably Running Scared, where he played the drug dealer.

  • I was happeh when I saw Alan rickman X3 BTW whose the actor who leans towards the phone in scene 2:30?

  • Brad Pitt is the actor, the movie is fight club. Great Film.

  • I made a video specifically about crazy villains and jack nicholson showed up as like 4 characters.

  • was that dick cheney at 0:10 haha

  • Laurence Olivier from Marathon Man.

  • Oh, gods, this was so wonderful! Thank you! A couple of these made me squeal..especially Jonathan Crane and Anton Chigurh.

And BTW, do you have a brief clip of an Asian woman torturing someone in there? It was brief, but I think I've seen it somewhere else.

  • That was from Audition (japanese).

I saw the uncensored version and it still haunts my nightmares... eughhchh

  • Audition is terrifying!

  • of course!

  • I love this clip! All my favorite villains are here. But one question: Derek Vinyard a villain?

  • i guess you can say that derek was a villain but only in the flashbacks parts

  • Great villain selection. You got a lot of my favorites in here.

  • wow...just wow....im pretty sure i completly lost it when i saw the baseball furys and ben from man bites dog.

always a great job whenever you put out videos like this. love it.

oh i know theres about a million more villians that couldve made the list, but just off the top of my head:

    geston- beauty and the beast

    clarence bodiker- robocop

eli sunday- there will be blood (yes, hes the villian)

    voldemort- harry potter

    kahn- star trek 2

  • Your right,Ely was totally the villain.

  • ok, can you please put the song mp3 up to download?? I tried looking for THIS version of the song, and I can't find it ANYWHERE! not even itunes has THIS version.

please if you could do this, it would be greatly appreciated!

  • I'll be damned. I was wondering where the bad guy from No Country for Old Men was! Hahaha!!!

  • Just watched this video for the 30th time, and I love it!! whoever put this together, thank you! and i'm sure Zevon thanks you too!

  • what movie at 2:15?

    looks so damn firmilar

  • At 2:15, it looks like Mrs. Robinson from The Graduate.

  • sharp dressed badass with a sense of humor...

    what do you think...

  • you are a good editor

  • finally somebody put that crazy hoe from ''audition'' in a video

    good video mate

can you really count edward norton as a bad guy in American history X?

  • the bad guy from '"road to perdition"

    jude law

  • what is 0:30? im very curious

  • What film is 0:24?

  • it's Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho, that is one of the scariest scenes in the movie.

  • what is the villainat 2:40?

    love the song.

  • Gozer from "Ghostbusters"

  • Watched it again. Thanks for including Fernando Rey in "The French Connection." A lot of people don't realize what a wonderful, important actor he was - especially in the Bunuel films. People know the face, but not the actor, but he was a terrific actor. Thanks again.

  • Really simply awesome!

  • What villain is at 1:31?

  • i think it its the guy from 1 hour photo - sy the photo guy

  • Never heard of him, is the movie any good?

  • its half thriller half horror isnt realy scary though

  • wrong. its robin williams' character in Insomnia

  • oh....

  • Great!!! 5/5 stars!

  • FANTASTIC! I knew it was Robert Mitchum but couldn't tell which movie, Harry Powell from Night of the Hunter is my favorite villain of all time!

  • which film is at 0:19?

  • Night of the Hunter

  • Tony Montanas not a villian. He a fucking hero!!!!!!!!

  • its cool you put the Joker from The Dark Knight in the video. After seeing the movie he became on of my favorite movie villains.

  • Who are 2:24 & 3:05? Also, nice job coupling the words "perform the flag salute" with the mountain man from Deliverance.

  • Keyser Soze "The Usual Suspects"

    Lars Thorwald "Rear Window"

  • Can you do heroes next please?
