i was in turn 3, and turned my head just in time to see the car flip. It was like 40mph winds that day. The IRL race sucked because all the cars that the exact same aero package which they finally fixed at kentucky
Damn that was serious. idk who's car that was but that car was already upside down when it went into the wall. He was lucky not to get into the catch fence. but yea IRL safety is incredibly fast, those guys are already in the trucks moving before the cars even come to a stop on the track after they crash
@TGTAP But how many series do they run per race weekend? If there are a bunch of them together I could see the justification in borrowing medical resources from the nearby towns for the weekend, but not for just two or three series (let's say in this case it's IndyCars being supported by the Lights and the NASCAR Trucks).
@raichiotto Well they usually have 2 main weekends of the year, one is Formula 3 and all the other small time events and also the BTCC weekend with all the smaller events with that too, so the entire friday - sunday was full of racing from about 10am-9pm, so there was a lot of racing going on. Rockingham has it's own medical centre with trained staff stationed there.

@mrbleetbleet It's obviously the most likely place to have a crash, so they put themselves there.

Look how fast safety crew is there! Amazing! In F1 hurt driver must wait several minutes to get assistance.

Yeh idiot u know why?
Ovals are 4 corners, F1tracks are like 10+corners u cant have 10medicalteams on each track ofcourse it takes longer to reach them doh.

@FreshTekNL Exactly.

@FreshTekNL I don't see why not, at Rockingham they have about 15 medical teams standing by, and that's for smaller events

@AJ1964 F1 = HUGE circuit, this is just a circle with 4 corners...just put the safety crew in each corner and you're done.
