  • just curious but would it be possible to maybe hotwire that kill switch if it goes bad to at least get the bike started to get it home or to a garage to get it fixed...may have to break that plastic housing or if u have a few tools with u under the seat

  • BTW I JUST saw on the news that Taco Bell is testing a new nacho cheese doritos taco shell

  • My dad had that happen to his bike back in the mid 1980s. :( His1980 XS1100 Special was parked in a Friendly's parking lot and it got so hot out his kick stand sunk in and the bike fell over. He didn't know until the waitress informed him. No serious damage just some scratches on the sissybar and those bars in the front were the highway pegs attach to.

  • @galaxial666 That would def suck. On a bright note, really great 2 see someone comment on older vids. U must be a glutton for punishment watching all my crap ;P haha Seriously tho, thanks a lot for the comment and for watching so many vids. I def appreciate it good sir :)

  • @woodenchairs No problem man, I just enjoy watching your vids. Your personality and sense of humor are a magnet for attention lol. You definitely need to have more puns, they make my day lol. Puns and more phillaninja still shots. His faces are priceless!

  • @galaxial666 I do puns all the time in regular life but for some reason i just havent been including them in vids. I keep meaning to but i guess its cuz i like to pun on the fly and not have it planned. Hopefully ill get some in there tho cuz its always been a trademark along with making fun of people.

Unfortunately Phillaninja has long since gone. He took down what he had up on here and pretty much left so cant do any more of his faces.

  • Your parts stores sound pretty good compared to one here in Boston, they charged me 8 bucks for kickstand puck. Also, I agree with you on the kill switch thing, money buddy had the same problem on his bike in the past.

  • Gahhh, I lazy shift all the time :(

  • wow, you're out watchin the old vids. My packing vid will prolly help you more on your trip plans plus you're shouted out in that one too ;P

  • Who doesn't love Dave!!

YouTube actually recommended to me that I watch this video for some reason. but I have been watching a lot of people's older videos. It's really fun.

  • Better question; who doesnt love toast!!! After all, nobody does it BREADer than you do. :P <---your very own bad pun for the day :P

Told ya youd never get any yard work done :P LOL

  • The day isn't over, I still have an hour and half of daylight.

  • So i have a yamaha 125cc 4 stroke its not really a big bike but i accidentally left the gas on this winter when it was cold.. and it had gas in it so know i need to get my carborater jets unclogged :(

  • That probably means youll have to actually take them apart and clean them because, once theyre clogged, fuel additives dont usually get them completely clear again.

  • I lazy shift all the time, I'm terrible it's because I am too relaxed on my bike lol.

  • LOL

    hahaha XD

  • i don't use the kill switch either!...but why is your shifter so low? mine is nice and high is there a reason? or you never adjusted it? thanks!

  • Its in the stock location and i cant imagine it being anywhere else. The wheel is turned tho so maybe its making it look lower?

  • hmmm, maybe...just seems very low to me lol, to each his own!

  • this is HILARIOUS the Toast part was hysterical

  • lol thanx man i appreciate it :D

  • Kick stand coaster, damn i dont know how many times i wished i had one of those!

  • Lmfao

  • great video, i actually do the same as you with the kill switch

  • Thanx man, i appreciate the comment :D

  • Yay, YZF600R! Yea the bike has problems with 2nd gear but its still a lovely bike.

  • I most definitely agree. I was really set on getting a silver 04 YZF600R. It really is one of the best, if not the best, all around bike you can get. Its sporty yet comfortable, good looking, decent performance, fully adj suspension, and the price is reasonable. I would have bought that 04 if it hadnt been for 3 things; 1. didnt care 4 the color of it. 2. i really wanted injection. 3. i was a bit scared off by the 2cnd gear issues but that didnt seem like a big deal if your careful when shifting

  • My message disappeared.

1:28 Alternative choice is a cover from glass tin(example sliced gherkings 970g).

    2:33 I confirm that.

3:25 Masinol also helps to keep carbs clean.

4:08 Agreed. The kill switch is intended to be used for safety/emergency reasons(even bike's manual tells that). Not intended to be used for shutting off engine after every ride.

4:29 Few times happened to my honda. Pressing again the kill switch to "off" and back to "run" position helped me. Not happened yet with my bandit.

  • 1:28 Definitely and also even a crushed soda can will work in a pinch as Billmaa said above.

4:08 Im glad you brought this to my attention because I had never checked the manual about this. I wonder why the msf teaches everyone to use the kill every time.

  • I always read the manual because I do take best care of all my bikes.

I havent taken any msf so I didnt know that they teach everyone to use the kill switch every time. When I was in license driving school to get my motorcycle license, they did teach me to always shut off engine with key like I always did and will do.

  • man, I'm always expecting humor and you always let me down ;p no, for real though - couple good tips thanks man :)

  • lol thanx man. :D

  • wasn't lame at all :)

    good videos and good tip..

and I have one of my own if you don't use the kill switch make sure you hold the clutch just for safety ..

  • Thank you, i appreciate the compliments and you're right, about the clutch.

  • Oh god, great video.lol. I gotta get me one of those kickstand thingies.

  • Thanx steel. I been thinkin, for winning my contest, the taco bell's on me if we meet up! :D lol

  • HA, thats a deal.

  • Oh PS...I lazy shifted the other day. Done it a few times now, definitely does not sound good at all. Gotta stop that or I'm going to break my bike!

  • I think it happens to all of us. I know i did it a couple times on the old bike and now i try really hard not to do it anymore.

  • Yeah! I got one of those kickstand plates at the Harley place. I had to pay six bucks though.

    Great advice!

You ought to get Toast a wee helmet, perhaps an eggshell? LOL!

  • Wow, they're always free here at motorcycle parts places.

lol i actually did try to put a helmet on the big toast. I used a water bottle cap and tried many times to get it to stay long enough to film but it just wouldnt work.

  • Duuuuuude...haha I'm at a lost for words. I didn't know I had kids...I should really figure out who the mother is.

  • LOL i was dying to see your comment. I couldnt believe it when i first found those little toasts lol :D

  • my yzf does that all of the time

  • I was looking at getting one myself and heard about that happening a lot.

  • he look like he wants to shank you with a news paper lol and the kid part is great.

  • lol thanks man :D

  • lmfao toasts kids thats awesome

  • thanks man :D

  • Ok, last comment, and I will leave this video alone forever! Just wanted to give you props, for the kickstand footer, that's a great idea that I've never seen anyone video about . I should carry one, I don't because I don't have the room. My cargo hold is big enough carry a pressure gauge, my paperwork and a fun sized snickers, (yanno just in case I get stranded by my kill switch, I worry about such things) but n a pinch, a crushed soda can will keep your bike from gettin the kickstand leans.

  • lol aw come on, you know you'll comment again. :p Besides Bill, your comments are always good and welcome.

I actually wanted to mention the crushed can because a friend i knew always did that at his shop but there was lil pieces of bread smiling at me and i got distracted. :p

Funny on the kill switch. :p lol Just for saying that, "no soup for you!" --soup nazi :p

  • thats not toast! thats an imposter!, toast had a bite mark xD

  • They fixed that in surgery when they were taking care of his wounds from falling. It worked out better that way because the insurance covered it since they thought it happened diring the fall. :p lol

  • seriosly, how DO you come up with this shit? xD cant wait till the next video :D

  • LOL Thanks man i def appreciate the kind words. :D I was so worried someone would come outside from the apartment while i was shooting this with the faces on the bead and think i was mad. lol

I just uploaded another but its not funny its just a quick vid of a friends project hes working on.

  • Chairs, I use both methods when it comes to shutting off a bike. I prefer the key, because it reduces the chance of leaving your lights on. But the switch needs to be used a bit, otherwise the contacts could rust & you'll run into that same "no start" issue. Your buddy could've avoided pushing the bike by removing the switch cover & a small spray of WD40. U have the same type switch on your kickstand & I don't see anybody avoiding using that because it might wear out! Lol.

  • He didnt know the switch was bad otherwise he definitely would have done that with the spray. Neither of us knew what the bikes prob was until a mechanic friend stopped by and started pushing on the switch even tho it was on the on position. Then it started which pissed my friend off more cuz then he knew he had pushed the thing all that way and didnt need to. lol People do bypass the kickstand switch tho because they do go bad. Someone commented on that above & i wish i had included that.

  • Where in the hell did you find the mini-toasts? That was awesome!!

I am the same as you. I never use the engine kill switch, I just use the key to turn the bike off.

  • LOL i was at the store one day and there they were. A whole package of them for only 99 cents and i knew right away i had to have them to mess with toasttogo. lol ;) To be honest, i had those when i shot the 1st vlog where toast fell off the bike. I had to make that joke first so i could lead into this one. I was so disapointed that i shot the street the whole time that i was going to not use that footage but i just had to because of the toast joke. :)

  • why are your clip-ons above your Upper Tripple tree?

  • All the CBR600s were like that Downshift, Least until the 04 600RR came out. Those CBRs were meant to be more street friendly and comfy. I agree that it does look kind of weird nowadays. Rebelyell91 put out a vid where he is riding a '95 and it's the same way. I assure you that the weirdest thing about woodenchairs bike is the guy in the pilots seat..=)

  • Hey! I resemble that remark...er, wait. :p

  • Another thing to think about along the same lines as the killswitch going bad is that the kickstand neutral cutoff switch can go bad as well, leaving you stranded. I always try to bypass that switch when I get a new bike.

  • Thats a good point. I wish i had thought about that before i shot this vid cuz i woulda included it. I should prolly look into doing that myself. My old bike didnt have the kill switch so i never had to worry about it before.

  • Just don't forget to put the kickstand up before you ride off.

  • I posted my comment before reading Brents, He has a good point, but I can't say I think thats a good idea. The switches are cheap & easy to replace. if it's that big of a concern, just buy new ones. I think there is a 1 in 500 chance of the kickstand switch leaving u stranded (I've seen it only once), but there is about a 1 in 20 chance you'll get distracted & ride off with your kickstand down, vegas odds anyone?. Its his bike he can do what he wishes, I just wouldn't suggest it the newbies.

  • Good point.

  • OMG... I was laughing my ass off the first minute!!!

Need to cheakc about the carb thingie.. sounds like a simple thing to do :)

Btw.. do the same as you.. always use the key.. never learned to use the kill switch to be honest..

    Excellent vlog as usual!!

  • Thanx man! Apreciate the compliments. :D

Definitely is an easy thing to do and helps keep the carbs/injectors clean. Pretty cheap thing to do now and then so you really cant go wrong even if it does eventually need to be professionaly cleaned. At least it helps keep that from happening more often. Thanks again. Def appreciate the kind words

  • Lol was that a cruton?

Nice vid and tips, ganna go see if I can get one of those kickstand things from the stealership =D

  • lol no it was a "mini toast" that i found one day at the store. Moment i saw them i was buying them just for this joke. lol 99 cents for a whole package of them. lol If your dealership doesnt have them then check any motorcycle parts dept. They usually have them. I shoulda grabed some and gave them away as prizes.

    Thanks for the compliments :D
