My computer got attacked and the programs won't work at all, i cleaned it, I guess but the programs on my desktop wont work and they all have the same icon pic. the memory is still there but the only thing that will work is notepad? any ideas, or help?

could be a virus, thats corrupting your files.. but could also be remotely controlled, also, could be like, very bad lol.

this far in, you couldve lost all the data, but i dont have any information as to whats fucked up so its hard to say lol

try system restore, try a full recovery. full recovery would totally, wipe your computer, so beware.

@Jman848 Yeah I wiped it and reinstalled evrything but it's stuck on a sort of safe mode but it doesn't say safe mode it just looks like it, and I reinstalled it again and it still stuck, any clue?

its possible for it to get rid of the viruses, but many viruses will stick around still, after doing this.

Well, it was on a private server she told me to make a msn, so I did, and she added me ever since then when I log on to my account its nothing but lag, like every second. So I closed my account on msn, but its still really bad lag, I don't see any change with it.

lol i just had a virus. if you using vista and the virus corrupt your system restore just restart and when it just starts to restart it should ask you some options.. f11 will be system restore. if the virus is realy realy bad then you can go to advanced options and do a system recovery which sets it to the factory setting :O :P
