  • OKAY PINKIE

  • if u look at the date that the y r tim age out :(

  • Sooooooo clean

  • thay are tennors tecknicaly sextets.... quads = 4 quints = 5 Sextets = 6 (# of drums)...

  • are they playing DICK? thats my favorite song on tenors then ditty then beatlicious

  • Anyone have any idea how to tune your tenors like that?

  • that split roll was unbelievably clean

  • Sheet music?

  • Those tenors sound so freaking amazing lol

  • i wish my quads sounded like that...

  • @SnareMasta2011 i wasnt trying to argue. i was trying to support and agree with clikxas. Perhaps i shoulda started my comment out with with "oh yeah i know man!....."

  • Thats defnately licks from dick

  • I love Dave!!!!

  • tim jackson is a cock

  • is this Dick?

  • does anyone have the music to this?!?!?! please!!! I'm willing to trade

  • @rhssnare we( Tim & I) just put that crap together a week before this vid. No music. just lil crap put together to start the clinic.

  • tim jackson - proof that even though you look like a nerd you can still be a beast drummer

  • I have to say, his skill renders him unbelievably sexy. =o

  • when he was in BD he looked pretty badass. lost the glasses and worked a beard pretty well. plus he was "skinny ripped"

  • @clikxas i'm really good friends with one of the biggest nerds i've ever known and also a 5 time world snare drumming champion, Noel Alvarez.

  • i love how the tenor sounds :D

  • Anyone have the quad music? I can trade :)

  • Do you think Tim Jackson feels like he's played every possible around combination on quads at this point?

  • most likely..

  • Haha Definitely

  • At least close to it haha

  • hahah you guys are idiots "Dick" is the name of the solo, and dude i wish i was there to see that, you can't get the quality off of youtube.

  • Dave Ellis is a Blast snare drummer.

  • DICK!!!

  • What's with the thumbs down??? "Dick" is the name of the solo

  • At least someone knows haha.

  • what sound tim jackson puts out!

  • tim is so good...

  • that's Tim Jackson?

  • Tim is on the left.

  • yup thats him hes a teacher at Columbus Pro Percussion in Columbus Ohio, hes hilarious and amazing too i see him all the time (like every other day)

  • tell Tim to move to AL and come teach at Saint Clair County High School

  • lol he cant hes in charge of rythem x WGI corp lol but trust em id love for him to teach at dublin coffman high school too man (i play tenors and hes a big help)

  • lol i play tenors as well thats why i said it.

  • Tim Jackson is also the battery instructor at Dublin Jerome for the '09-'10 marching season

    take that, Coffman :P

  • awsome

it kinda sounds like the jsu solo cadence

  • Thise are sextets. Not quads. Awesome solo though.

  • even though they have 6 they are still called "quads" tim jackson even calls them so in his 2005 solo introduction

  • u could jst call them "tenors". it makes everythin so much easier...

  • Yeah the name of the cadence is "Dick" , i wasn't calling anybody a dick at all. it was a tenor cadence used by the blue devils.

  • i think ya'll misunderstood what sk8nspyda was saying... he didn't call anyone a dick. that is a cadence called "hey dick"

  • I WANT THAT MUSIC!!!!!

  • 0:30

    HOLY SHIT.

  • wow!

    toca genial

    esta increible el video

  • cooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOl

  • dude that was freakin cool.

  • its the BD Tenor cadence Dick

  • yep

  • That was so insane! Tim's runs up and down the heads are so clean...

    I want Tim Jackson's baby

  • ditto!

  • Was this for DCI or WGI?

  • no it was just during the blue devils japan tour, that the press(& some fans)wanted to see them do somethin so they put this solo together for them.

  • Thanks.... :)

  • Actually if you look at the video and if you check Dynasty's site, I'm pretty sure this is when those two went over to Japan to show off Dynasty drums. And if the date is correct, then it was post-Godfather Part Blue. Correct me if I'm wrong.

  • is so sweet how they have that spock drum tuned

  • that was a Sextet he was playing, you idiot..

  • whats a sextet?

  • a sextet is a version of tenors. there Tri-tenors (3 drums) Quad- tenors (4 drums) quint-tenors (4 drums and a gock) and sextet-tenors (4 drums and 2 gocks)

  • or in some cases the sextets are 5 drums and a gock

  • lol sure its a sexet he's playin but ppl still call 'em quads

  • Is that the same tim jackson from the blue devils?

  • Yea...^O^

  • Flam Fla Flam Flam,... FLAM FlAM FlAM!!! cheeze cha cheeze cheeze. D: .

  • Dang, this was in Japan? KEWl, and Dynasty snares do sound unique, lol, I would prefer Dynasty Snares but Yamaha Tenors....><

  • tim jackson is my boy

  • Whose Dave Ellis, and this was Kewl....><

  • its 'quads' not quards, u can get more hits by changing the title

  • Thanks!

  • I like pearls better myself... they just sound good. yamaha double snares are the best though :)

  • Kewl...>.<

  • For a personal set, I would get Dynasty. Their tenors sound the best in my opinion. Do whatever sounds the best to you though!

  • good old dick =]]]

  • Hahah What About Dave Ellis... WHIIIIIPPPP CREEEEEAAMMM!!!

  • haven't heard dick in a while

  • ditto .

  • dayum lol i thought i heard rim tho im not sure might of been the snare

  • dave's my drum instructor, he said it was cold that day

  • how does he (tim jackson) not hit the rim? that's crazy lol

  • right even bill hits the rim...

  • Well obviously Bill is NOT Tim and if we are lucky...Tim will take Bill's spot...Bill's getting old anyway...

  • Since it is that obvious that Tim isnt Bill wat was the need for you to reply on mine and say it? People underestimate Bill just because we dont SEE him playing stuff that Tim plays, that doesn't mean he cant and that he isnt getting beter day by day.

  • Plus, Bill's an old school quad player. He's down with the old stuff...but oddly enought he did play this with Jeff Queen...It's Dick, an old ram from BD back in the 90's.

  • they were demo'ing the Heavy Hitter Pads, IIRC

  • I think half of it is the drums. I played on a set of dynasties once, smoothest drums ever. Scrapes have never been so easy.

The other half is godly skills.

  • what are better, dynasties or pearls.. cause i need to get a pair of tenors and snares and i was wondering

  • dynasty snares sound very unique, i prefer a dynasty line, but individually i'd rather hear a yamaha. so, for a line, make it dynasty, for a single person, yamaha

  • yea cause my line right now has yamaha and there not bad overall good for our school, but if i could probably make them dynasty

  • well...in my opinion dynastys are great for high school ppl cus theyre lighter & have a great quality sound so..in my opinion dynasty is the best ,but its up to you to decide which is the best.

  • its not about the drum, its all in the heads, yours and the druma

  • ***drums****

  • tim jackson kills every time
