love, love, love this...my professor knows this fellow teacher...so much inspiration and much to consider for someone aspiring to interpreter status...SO worth it. thanks for your inspiration. r
@hungergameslover28 ASL IS a language, LOL. I understand all of it. She's not signing the English words of the song, and she seems to be using a lot of classifiers as well, so maybe that's it?
Hey Tiffany, I enjoy watiching your videos!!! Keep up the awesome work. I love the energy you have, you look like you have a lot of fun making these. :-)
It is RARE and refreshing to see a song truly interpreted into ASL and not signed English!! WELL DONE!!! You did a great job of dropping the English and conveying the concepts of the song using classifiers, facial grammar, etc. instead of signing word for word. If you haven't checked out ROSALEESHOW, she also produces really nice posts too.
@IAMLINASMOMMY She's using classifiers properly. ASL isn't just replacing words with signs. It's story telling. Using facial expressions, signs, and classifiers and intensifiers all together to create a beautiful language.
I sign this song soooooo different lol I lo the fact that there are so many different ways to sign EVERYTHING!!! thank you for giving us a view of your take on this
Hey im hard of hearing and i love it!!! and i know asl too but your better than me and i sign song too and please comment one of my video and btw your videos are A>M>A>Z>I>N>G!!!
I was going to make and post a video with an ASL interpretation to this song and had trouble thinking how to justly interpret some of the lyrics...and you interpret it all with such clarity and so poetically. Honestly, you rocked it out!!! I seldom see someone who signs ACTUAL ASL, and this was just so wonderful to watch. You sign such a beautiful interpretation of the song. Mad props. Thank you for demonstrating a true musical interpretation in ASL ^_^
I watch many many "signing" vids.. and "interpretation vids", and I must say that in your vids you spend much more time with gestures and references to your body... than you do acutally signing
This was brilliant! Pure ASL as usual. For those that do not understand it, you do not know ASL, even if what you have been signing has been inaccurately called ASL. If you are truly fluent in ASL this makes "perfect" sense (no pun intended?). Absolutely phenomenal work!
I just start to learn ASL recently, am hard of hearing. I can sign some simple words now. I joined a great deaf daing site, ----Deafornot dot c om----, and met some good deaf/HOH friends over there. They help me to learn ASL.
I don't get it. Everybody saying this is an amazing interpretation and I'm not doubting anyone, I guess this was a good interpretation. I didn't understand her interpretation and I've known ASL ever since I was little and use it. I must use different signs. Help! I'm not trying to be mean, I just didn't understand it.
@abab123x Um, not sure what you mean by saying you didn't understand her. Are there specific parts that you're not getting? This is pretty straight ASL, and very clear, IMO. Not flaming, just trying to help.
@turnbuster well I didn't understand it, like I said I must use different signs. No its really not pretty straight ASL, there are different signs that can mean the same thing and it is considered ASL. I had seen other interpretations of this song and I understood them and they were ASL.
i love this so much!!! i am learning ASL at my school i have never done sign language before and i absolutely love how you add passion into your signing
@koolhatesme Its hard to explain.... Its easier to explain the opposite, which she does 1:04-1:06... That sign is comparable to self-esteem/confidence...
So by making it go down, she is saying, when your feeling down, dejected, low, etc... Does that help?

I could literally sit and watch videos by you and/or ewitteborg all day. I have a *ton* of homework to do for my IPP classes, and yet I feel that sometimes I learn more from watching the two of you. Looking at the way either of you sign a song & discard the literal for the conceptual, and then watching a more literal "interpretation", and seeing how much greater an impact your versions have is mind boggling. It's a great reminder for me to think about what is *meant* vs what is *said* in class!
I wonder if you can interpret 1+1 By Beyonce. I'm deaf/hard of hearing myself. Would love to see how you interpret that song. Less than Perfect song is my fave as well!
This is so awesome! Do you think you can write the signs you used? I'm learning ASL in school and I want to become an interpreter. I know at least half, but not all signs you use.
I love your video's. I am 14 years old. After an unknown illness when I was 7 months old I lost my sense of hearing. Your video's combined with feeling the vibration's of the speaker make it possible for me to "listen" easily with no implants. You have blessed me with the gift of music. I am beyond grateful!
i loved your interpretation...i interpreted this song as well but its not nearly as good. you are one of the few signers on youtube that i love learning from.
