Try to cover the mic with a sock. It will basically work as a pop filter. Cheaper and easier to get.

lol, I always got a kick out of watching old 1980s music videos when they would have these professional musicians with really expensive microphones and the pop filter would be some sort of cheap hoop and a lady's nylon stretched over it.
