Dang this movie came out nine years ago, and I am still not over Datas death. It's like we were friends or brother and sister you know, I grew up on TNG so I felt a "closeness" to all of the characters. I am sixteen but all my dad watched was star trek and TNG is the best so losing data was like losing a family member. I know this is all science fiction but all you Trekkies must understand...right. Oh heck who am I kidding? Its not the real world. I love you data and you will always be in my he
@RaikenXion I would lick her arsehole & fist her cunt & spunk in her eye & slap her ass & call her a cunt whore as I wanked my cock & spit on her & pull faces & growl while I fucked her... .well you get the picture.... she is a grubby cunt, a special lady
Nemesis was a Good TNG movie But it was released at a Bad time with a Harry Potter movie and Lord of the Rings movie being released at the same time - What the Hell were Paramount thinking - For me the JJ.Abrams Star Trek Movie was.........................................................
@painkiller1968 allot of people, previous fans, and newbies, have enjoyed the recent star trek movie. now as a trek person who knows allot about it i understand your annoyance. but as someone who can break myself away from that, the movie is fun. it has all sorts of problems, but over all it is a fun movie.
I do think that bringing in an unknown director was a poor choice for Nemesis. I also believe the story was too similar to several of the episodes (finding Lore, finding the female android). I also felt as if the story could have been stronger if they had not brought in a clone of Picard. If you recall in the series Spock was still on Romulus and the underground movement was strong. I think those are a few of the reasons fans did not go see the film in big numbers.
I never understood WHY they had her camouflage her British accent on TNG - I mean, Jean Luc was supposed to be French and even HE used his normal speaking voice, which was a British accent (wtf?). It almost sounds like Marina was trying to so a sort of Slavic accent - not quite American and not quite British, but it was something in her tone that said she was from another country (planet?) I just love her, though. She is so gorgeous and funny.
Nemesis is the best of the TNG movies, and it was a good job from all involved - Stewart Baird included.
If they needed to change one thing in the movie, its "B4". He's a spare-one at a wedding, and they should have used Datalore instead. He would have been ideal for the villian pushing Shinzon's buttons, and even interesting to see him in a more blood-thirsty "Kahn" performance - and a truly fitting demise for Data.
I wish Frakes had directed Nemesis; especially since it was the last of the TNG films. Maybe they could have gone out on a much better note if one of their own (someone who understood the characters) was calling the shots.
Brent Spiner, when he's not playing Data, sounds like Patrick Steward but without the English accent.
I would love for the cast to get together ONE LAST TIME to do ONE LAST ST MOVIE!
It would be interesting to see Johnathan Franks and Marina Sirtis reprise their roles since theire last time doing so in the ENT finale. Too bad TNG movie 5 won't happen in the near future.
@dekablueranger It would be far more interesting to see them included in the new star trek movie franchise, as time travelers that meet the young captain kirk and spock!!!!
meh nemesis was alright.....generations was amazing. I dont think you can knock the movies. The show is great, the movies are great, of course Nemesis is probably the last star trek related thing that was released that I actually liked.....the new star trek blowssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
@CreativeCanberran Yeah definitely dude, the director apparently never saw an actual TNG episode until accepting the job, not sure if he even did after he got the job.
Baird was a terrible director...absolutely horrible, and knowing that he didn't know how Star Trek worked made it that much worse because any other director would have sat down and researched it to make sure they got it right. Not Baird though.
@FLAME4564 This is very true. I shudder to think of what it would have come out like. Then again Abrams was going for something completely different, since Kirk and Spock's timelines were already set.
@sondano I remember going to see it at the cinema and listening to all that dialogue about how they were clones and looking around at the audience wondering if anyone else was falling for it.
Great vid! I love how Marina is so honest! Have you noticed how Baird is so sure of himself while the actors who have worked with him always take Baird down a notch. Good editor--poor director!
I love how Marina is always so brutally honest. Think Baird is fine as a director on something that doesn't have a background but his editing is always top notch.
She only did that because she was being paid! In the long run, Marina along with her colleagues were right! Funny how a paycheck makes one say the strangest things!
@fredrika27 Yeah Nemesis sucked bad, the story was the biggest problem, the directing was not good. Insurrection had a weak story too but somehow it wasnt as bad as Nemesis

I feel like the character of Worf was woefully underused in the TNG films. There could have been a great Klingon story there...

Is Marina Sirtis English or Australian?
TheJoEker19 6 months ago
@TheJoEker19 She's English. Of Greek descent, but born and raised in London; hence, the accent.

@TheJoEker19 She's Greek and English. I've loved her Interview in Greece where she spoke Greek perfectly.

when Marina was saying that it was a good movie and that he was right in the end, that's really code for 'he was wrong and the movie sucks'.

Wow. This certainly was before the movie tanked because Marina has criticized Baird heavily in the years since Nemesis. So has Burton.
