this is interesting, have you ever thought to take them one step further in their training, dummy weapons with a bit of chalk on it so as to indicate a cut?

This looks very interesting. This sword practice looks like its within Chinese tradition. I'm learning Iaido, Which is the art of Drawing and cutting the sword. My Sensei told me that there is a big difference between Iaido and Kobudo. Great work!
