  • I fell in love with the dulcimer before i knew what it was ( i heard it on the original tv viewing of the Waltons), so i was a very small child. It has taken me until my 40's, and seeing you on You Tube to know what instrument has been playing in my head all these years. Please consider putting more on this site. Many thanks, Heloise, from England.

  • I have listened to Dulcimer tunes on here all night and this one is the BEST I have heard so far. Such a great sound. I never saw anyone play with a feather before.

  • Totally agree!

  • that dulcimer has a real sweet mountain voice.

  • Dang! I can't figure out the tuning. Does someone know? It's not DAD or AAD. I think.

  • DGD tuning (key of G)

  • i went to California and stayed with friends who introduced me to the dulcimer. It was the most wonderful experience to have it enter my life. I absoloutely fell in love with it. I managed to scrape £250 together to buy the dulcimer off my American friend!. It comes in the post tomorrow and I so excited!!! I can't wait to get in and play it for hours and hours! I can't believe none of my friends in the UK have heard of it! I suppose we're only 17 though! great video! x

  • I just got a dulcimer for Christmas from my sweet hubby! My Great Maw played this and the banjo clawhammer style back years ago when they lived in the Smokey Mountains here in Tennessee. It breaks my heart to see this. This is the true old timey style of doing it and it really brings back sweet memories! Good luck with yours, I;m going to get me a feather soon as I can!

  • Enjoyed an older style of Dulcimer playing
