Sura 5:33, if Islam is resisted "Their punishment is ... execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from the opposite sides, or exile from the land." Sura5:49, "If they reject your judgment, know that it is Allah's wish to scourge them for their sins." Sura 9:5, "Fight and slay the pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them ..." Sura 9:73, "Prophet, make war on unbelievers and hypocrites..."
Sura 5:49 And so judge (you O Muhammad SAW) between them by what Allah has revealed and follow not their vain desires, but beware of them lest they turn you far away from some of that which Allah has sent down to you. And if they turn away, then know that Allah's Will

Sura 5:33 The recompense of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and do mischief in the land is only that they shall be killed or crucified or their hands and their feet be cut off on the opposite sides, or be exiled from the land. That is their disgrace in this world, and a great torment is theirs in the Hereafter.
It goes on like this. You can reach my source googling "Parallel Quran".
Since these sentences can be interpreted in different ways by different readers -either they believe or not- I could put another video titled "Enemies become friends when bitterness ends"
There is only a very limited number of ways you can interpret: kill, execution, slay; I want to emphasize that I struggle to see how 'god' does not sanction violence and death.
The fact that the majority of Muslims clearly do not act upon this portion of their scripture, speaks highly of their reasoning. The fact that some proportion clearly do, concerns me.
That is because one third of Qoran speaks of justice for instance. The violance you speak of is justified in war. A Greek friend of mine onece told me that you can find pagans or atheists living in Iran and their ancestors go back to Great Alexander. What I like most in Islam is Humans are allowed to make choices so that they can choose paradise or hell. Otherwise this world would not be a test place.

Any god that ever realized he must kill his own degenerate creations - using other fallible creations, is too stupid to be godly, or holds creations in very low regard.(subjectivity guarantees consciousness of that god in this case) We must consider this all transparently human rationale
Go ahead and explain the other video "enemies become friends when bitterness ends..."
Entropy says everything in universe spoils. I belive more people were much humane than we are today.
The starting words of "Any god that ever realized " stops me reading the rest. Comparing "weak against omnipotent" being... These exclude each other right? I belive in the latter definition of the Creator.
In sixteenth-century Paris, a popular form of entertainment was cat-burning, in which a cat was hoisted in a sling on a stage and slowly lowered into a fire. I presume your belief in historic altruism is just that. Violence is an overarching sense that life is cheap.
An atheist must cherish all life. Indeed I am an atheist in part because of what I've seen done in god's name. Why is god so ruthless? Why can it incite killing? Why create that which must be destroyed? It's an utter mystery.
The world is not paris... it is not west... it is not just western stuff which was totally bulshit in middle ages...
Check those comunist regymes and see what atheists did to their people.
You belive evolution so you should say that violence is what we received from our primitive ancestors and it lives deep inside our brains no matter what excuses we use to hide behind. I am not interested in your primitive conclusions any further. Try knocking on someoneelse's door...
I do not see any God inciting violence, we still do not have proof for God's. I guess you forgot that.
Instead all I see is a brainless species trying to blame everything else but itself.
Everyday dozens of species become extinct. Who cares about them? Why not? Being a human, a pile of electrons & protons, makes some electrons and protons more valueable than the others in a tree, or a donkey?
I can see you are uncapable of asking real questions.
"For some, laws of nature is God" but for the utter majority it is not. Defined god is: "A being conceived as the perfect, omnipotent, omniscient originator and ruler of the universe..." it is uncommon to consider god as more than a mere being, rather more of a force of nature. You are denying reality if you think that Muslims or other religions for that matter, hold that opinion. Do they pray to the force of gravity, or the patterns in nature, or the mysteries of quantum physics?
"For some, laws of nature is God" but for the utter majority it is not.
Only one third of world population had a chance to use a telephone. The number of people who knows and understands Grand Unified Theory is, you say what... Majority does not do anything unexpected. The point is nothing random in universe. Why? Why do we have laws that enables life? Some wonder.. I do.
For me god is an abysmally weak excuse for causality. (I'm probably wasting my time if you consider entropy a pertinent anthropological phenomenon anyway.)
Surely you've heard "Could God create X so Yly, so that even god couldn't Z?" what do you make of all that? I'd be surprised if the cause to the universe was god, because so far it's not. Religion only exploits post-diction and the unknown, and offers little in return. Thousands of religions are yet to sway science.
so in a nutshell you are saying "no i don't have an argument against the evidence that islamic theocracy destroyed the intellectual world in the near east, so instead i'm going to make impotent attempts at insulting your intelligence to shield this fact."
So you were one of those people interested in humilitaing believers... and got disturbed with this. Man, I am sorry, I do not have a video showing Christian's or Buddist's additions to science. You should be contented with this one! Or find and let me know, I will post it here.

And pay more attention to your comment "The whole concept of faith, of believing something for which there is no basis for belief, is against the nature of science." Most scientists are believers. So who is wrong? You or them?
Again! Stop irrelevant comments, stay within the context. You will find believers boosting science in ancient greek times which means I can extend my words for christianity to ancient greek. The thing you see posturing and rivalry is a part of history and truth that you are not ready to accept or you are disturbed by... You are far from understanding Carl, yet you use his words you think you understood the way he meant, which may be regarded funny!
I am sorry but you seem not to understand that you are commenting on a context you are a bit alien. Nobody rejects what you are saying. But people should also accept that it is the Christian faith's problems. Religion is not confined by Christianity. Yet, Christian scientists' sendeavours are less known than Vatican's!
This is a response to people using Carl's words to degrade religion. Most scientific achievements came from people trying to understand God's thinking. Even Carl mentiones this. You need more education also better empathy...
Study quantum mechanics and you will see that all human life is only some things occuring due to having higher probability. All human actions are only fluctuations in an energy ocean. Science ends up here. There must be new, brave and revolutionary interpretations of what we know as truth or metaphysics.
Again if we went with you, you would oppress women, and be stoning people to death. Just because you charie picked a few verses doesnt make it science. Fundamentalism will never unite humanity. And exactly who has impacted science around the world in the religious field. There is a mountain of evidence for the big bang (COLBE and PLANCK) and evolution which fundamentalist are against. And sense when has religion held the belief on string theory.
If Einstein had accepted classical mechanics without questioning it he would not open the doors to what you are saying. The blame is not yours. You are repeating what you are told/taught. Are you as brave as Einstein to interrogate what you believe to be the truth?
First Einstein never claimed a personal God. It was called his "big bluder" look it up. You know I have noticed something you really don't have anything to back your claims up. I have listed things and all you do is ramble around. I bet you don;t even know what String Theory is or what the basics of general relativity or quantum mechanics do you?
We are not discussing Einstein's perception of Creator. For some, laws of nature is God. Why do we have laws in nature? Why everything is not totally random? Why energy is submitted to some laws and more than 20 constants in universe? I am a high honor undergrad in physics. What about you?
Ya and what religious or non-religious school did you go to. I have mentioned string theory twice and you haven't even told me about that. I'm guessing its not an accredited college or has very little. Oh ya and I'm Richard Dawkins and I can prove that to you because I just typed it.

Did you have time to check Heisenberg's uncertanity principle, Schroedinger's equation, quantum mechanics? The chemical reactions inside our noron's resposible for our behavoiur including thinking, our thoughts? They are very intrigueing.
I do not care with whom you want to go. You must know/understand/defend the truth. If you do not it will hit you back someday.
Most of the scientists boosted science are this way or that way believers. You will discover more if you search. Check Abdus_Salam at wikipedia for instance.
Ok its called how do you say this EVIDENCE. Get some that doesnt involve some cult crap and I'll take your diluted misguided brainwashed laking of everything reasonable ideas seriously. Know really I will.
A huge pack of molecules -constituing what could be called me- are hitting each other unconsciously. Some molecules of this pack are hitting some other molecules called keyboard, unconsciosly. Some charges moving from keyboard to pixels on another pack of molecules called pixels on your screen, unconsciosly. The emitted light is kicking electrons all along the way your from eyes to your brain to your muscles, unconsciosly.
Depending on the endpoint either they form an understanding or not expression on your face, unconsciosly. Science does not evolve with 100% correctness. It evolves with throwing 100% falseness. I am sorry, noone could disprove Creator's existence yet. It is still a reliable hypothesis. I do not care if you do not accept this using the free will The Creator implanted into your existence.
Christian point of view on universe is not the only religion based, yet, it is one of the most illogical ones under the light of observational evidence, that is true.
I think It goes Jewish, Christian, Muslim. Basically Its the same thing some guy had an idea Abraham and then the Christians added some stuff from another guy Saul who helped wright the new testament and then you have Mohamed who like the others had "visions" and bla bla bla. Basically all three started with the Jews. Tells me how much you know about your own religion.
False! Jews are one son of Abraham and the other son is Arabs, not Muslims. So Arabs and Jews are brothers. If Islam was a continuation of Judaochristian faith there would be a word like Judaochristimuslim faith. Muslims are blasphemists to Jews and Christians.
And evolution, I am sorry, despite it is a nice designed theory its own tools, especially adaptation, does not prove it. I expect evolution theory to have mathematical propositons which can be objectively disproved. You are dragging me into deep discussions.
Evolution isn't about math its biology LOL. I don't know what kind of deep discussions your talking about but you obviously know nothing about evolution. Do me a favor learn about it fist before you scrutenize it that's called science. Gnome #2 links us to apes and we have lots of fossils and DNA, that's alot to disprove, well I guess you have your hands disproving the evolution theory.
You should have learnt that biology is not literacy year before. Evolution -if happened- depends on four fundamental laws of nature. No gravity, there is no evolution. No electromagnetic force no evolution, no nuclear force, no evolution at all. Evolution is so dependent on mathematics than you can think of... but there is not a single equation with observable, disprovable outcomes...

Paralaks, the issue still stands; why would god incite violence?
All violence is unethical. Do you acknowledge that?
Arguing about the source of violence is extraneous. Violence exists, and it is not conducive to humanities plight on the pale blue dot.
Hypatia, a scholar of the Library of Alexandria was brutally murdered and mutilated, in the name of another god, was that violence justified?

I do not care with whom you want to go. You must know/understand/defend the truth. If you do not it will hit you back someday.
Most of the scientists boosted science are this way or that way believers. You will discover more if you search. Check Abdus_Salam at wikipedia for instance.
