@jack002tuber It's a very old tune. Seems I heard somewhere it is from the 1700's. I love what the "Three Stooges" did with this tune in a (1940's ?) film they did entitled "Punch Drunk". You might like to Google that and watch it. Larry is a fiddler and it is hilarious! "Punch Drunk" is available free on YouTube! Enjoy!

@jack002tuber Oops....the film is entitled "Punch DRUNKS" (not Punch Drunk). The "s" missing throws off the search. It helps to add "three stooges" to zero in on that film. Hope you can watch it.

@catinnahat Ok yeah. I think I have that on a DVD. I remember seeing him play that and Curley is in a boxing ring. The music makes him go crazy. I'll have to post my own pop goes the weasel. :)

Im thinking of switching to not using a shoulder rest, but I find it difficult as the violin always slopes down, am I supposed to support it with my playing hand? Because I was told that the playing hand should not be supporting the violin..

my 7 yr old daughter has been playing the violin for 3yrs Suzuki method , I had her watch this video and she loved it, she has learned to play it by ear very well thanks for the insperation .
