It depends on your style but you could add on patches of your favorite places or bands, buttons, or even sequins if you're feeling fancy. You could even find an old iron-on to add some individuality to your backpack.

OR you can just use the computer and a calendar template then print it out - or email it to Kinkos and have them print it for you.. it'll be cheaper and way easier than making one by hand. Fonts are free and ink stamps cost money.

What I do not understand - why does she write it all by hand, when you can easily print it? There are many cool recources on the net when you google digital scrapbooking o hybrid scrapbooking. Even when you want to do the decorations by hand for a more individual touch, I see it as a waste of time to write the numbers and draw the lines myself. You could easily make the basic pages in a text software and print them to decorate then.

But well, the Happy Birthday Banner is cute :-)

Well, I don´t see anything creative in drawing lines and numbers. I´d better use my time to create something, that means, go into challenge with my own ideas. drawing lines only takes a lot of time.

Besides this, when printing, there are various possibilities to be creative and give the thing an individual touch - and afterwards, you´ve still got time to weave that cool scarf from the last episode, for example.
