  • Fisher Retarted???? What else im going to hear in my life.. Maybe for a genius like you Fisher was indeed retarted.....

  • its funny that his voice is EXCACTLY the same for 20+ years!!!

  • @kostasrallis Not surprising since his voice is very soft. It's not like his vocal cords took a beating over the years.

  • Karpov is a class act and a true chess champion.

  • Stop talking about that quiting, cry baby, bitch Fischer. He defeated a Spassky who had passt his prime and just because Spassky was a gentleman and returned to play.He didnt show up to face this man.Karpov is on the stage,Fischer in the toilet..let him there

  • @moishele327 Go suck dick of american propaganda you little cunt.Fischer was a cheater and a quiter. He beat a Spassky who had passt his prime and just because Boris was a gentleman and returned to the match.Karpov would have own his ass in 1975 but Fischer, that bitch..didnt show up

  • @KnightOnE5Square how does it feel to be retarded?

  • @chumbucket843 Everyone knows who was retarded between Fischer and Karpov so you musst be in the Fischer's wagon

  • @blackoil911 lol

  • Karpov should become president of the FIDE. He is it worth to become president because he is against all such ridiculousy things like hand shaking by force or doping controls.

  • Guys, it's a pointless discussion"who would beat or not beat whoever". All top players should be respected for what they've achieved. Top chess players are like athletes who have to do a lot of training before competition. They need to make a lot of opponent studies and preparations for tournaments. My point is, they can be off their form as well and sometimes can be beaten by unknowns just as easy.

  • Fischer would NOT have beaten Karpov during the time of the championship. Fischer is sometimes unfairly treated as "the god of all chess." If it weren't for the American media building him up at the time, people wouldn't be so oblivious to chess reality. Don't get me wrong, when Fischer won the title in 1972, he did so rightfully as being 100+ points higher than the second best player (Spassky). That's dominance. However, he had stopped playing for 3 years; that's a nail in the coffin for a pro.

  • @PrUnEJuIcEtHeThIrD you dont have a clue.

    learn or be quiet.

all chess pros agree Fischer was at a min. one of the top 5 players of all time.

    many think him the best.

you are a very ignorant person

  • @JadeTomZ Funny, cause you displayed your complete ignorance while trying to bash my ignorance (and failed). I never said Fischer wasn't good, or that he wasn't a top 5 player all-time. But you know what the pros REALLY agree on? Here's your list (of more modern players):

    1. Kasparov

    2. Karpov

    3. Fischer

There. Fischer is top 5, and still can't be considered better or more successful than Kasparov and Karpov. Don't you feel silly that your little bitch rant just went nowhere?

  • @PrUnEJuIcEtHeThIrD

personally fischer to me will always be a great chess player but so would Anand or Kramnik? i mean each has won a world championship if not more than 1

to find the best players u have to do more research and evidence , sounds to me u need to do academic math or study math again

  • @blackoil911 Rofl why would I care about using "academic math" or doing extensive research to beat on a dead horse? Many others have already ranked the top chess players of all time based on time-adjusted ratings, wins, years as championship, you name it. You think some random youtuber like me is looking to do all that again just in order to state my opinion? Haha yeah right.

I gave my opinion on the top three. Namely that Fischer's not #1. And this is widely agreed upon.

  • @PrUnEJuIcEtHeThIrD

nvm if u said Fischer was not number im cool with dat

its just i see so many fischer fans saying he is number 1 that is just sad

its like saying for example , kfc is the best food when there is pratically 10 other foods much more tastier

i still love kfc tho lol

  • One of two remaining living legends.. /bow

  • he looks like my grandmother

  • I take it Karpov is a chess legend. Hhaha I'm new to chess, but I'm mastering it. Watch out, yall.

    Benson and Tonic

  • I think if Fischer had remained active in 72, 73, 74 he would have had no problem beating Karpov in 1975. But not even he could take 3 years off and just continue to win. He knew that, and his absurd demands that Karpov should have to win by 10 games to 8 were rightly rejected.

1978 would have been interesting. Fischer aged 35, Karpov 27. I still think Fischer if he had remained active in chess. Perhaps by 1981 Karpov would have gotten his title. There is no question Karpov was a great player

  • A classy gentleman. He could have said something negative about Fischer, but he chose to make a nice non-judgemental comment about Fischer's death.

  • i've got two words for you - 1994 Linares. My bad - just one word, the other is a number. Has it ever occurred to you that Karpov could have been the strongest player of all time if only he had the opportunity to play and develop against the best in his prime.

  • I always bring Linares 1994 up to everybody. Karpov has to be the greatest player ever. His style is my favorite. I specifically study his games to attempt to tailor my style to imitate him.

  • karpov the karp for the win

  • Karpov himself admitted that he would have lost in 1975 and that match would have been a training one for 1978 which he thinks he would have won.

  • He never said anything remotely close to that.

  • thx for video

  • what a man.

  • Karpov is a legend respect..he is a living King

  • Sure..All the 3 games he lost against KASPAROV was very tight. They all could have gone either way..He is certainly one of the best of all times..But in 1975 he was not strong enough to take on Fischer..few years later perhaps.

  • I think Karpov would have defeated the fish. I think Robert new that and thats why he retired.

  • hahahaha

  • Long live Tolya. You are the best.

  • His endgames are amazing. i play over his games in the hope of learning.

  • Karpov was one hot Mofo when he was younger. just saying

  • karpov baba 160 turnuva sampiyonu :D

  • living legend

  • Nice ass!

  • I think that we learned much from Karpov and the positional play of today stem from his games. He played very beautiful.

  • Karpov is a great grandmaster and a gracious competitor. His games are also a great wealth of chess knowledge especially on defense, which is very important. Karpov rules!

  • Karpov rocks. Would have been great if Fischer played him in 1975.

  • Though I admired his playing, I didn't care for him personally while he was champion (thanks partly to anti-soviet bias among western writers). All that changed when he lost the title to Kasparov. I was amazed at what a gracious loser he could be. An example which, unfortunately, subsequent champions have not always followed. And he's still playing while his younger successor has retired. Play on Tolya!

  • Kaprov is a class act.

  • l'aiglon (NapoleonII) is waiting!

  • For what?? Exile??

  • Most people who have met him, say he is a very kind person indeed.

I was not in favour of Karpov in the '80s, but as I grow up, I like him more and more.

  • he reminds me of spassky, another really kind person. maybe sometime losing the title will save your soul

  • Karpov, the living legend...
