  • Not meaning to detract from your core strength in any way this is impressive you just coul have gone a bit lower to make it harder.

    I also found that weighted inverted sit ups helped me a lot with developing my strength on these.

    These are also called Body Levers by many in the gymnastics community.

  • Shonaripa and 1jaredjacobs down there are right, the way he is doing them will royally screw up your back. Make sure that you're using your abs and not your hipflexors.

    I can't do but like two myself, so don't ask, but search for Bruce Lee sit ups and the first result is exactly how these should be done.

  • pretty good form. Impressive. It's called a dragon flag or body lever in gymnastics. One of the best ground-based abdominal exercises you can do IMO.

  • hey man i just tried this weighing at 180lbs and i went down real slow at i got it up(but my feet were about a Foot and a half. Then i tried it all the way down like you did and after a certain point my feet slammed onto the ground

  • Yes, do the negatives first. I can do about 5 with my back and body completely straight but this is the way it was done in Rocky 4 the movie (with the arched body).

  • You are arching the back too much. You also need to lower the legs and back more towards the mat. Only then will Bruce Lee and Rocky be proud of you.
