  • Brilliant video like the vintage carriages

  • @WestCoastRailwayBoy Many thanks for commenting, they are stunning coaches.

  • Brilliant footage. Lovely to see those old railway coaches. I must admit I like the GNR coach as it was designed by Nigel Gresley. A lot of railway enthusiasts forget that Gresley started out as carriage designer and I always liked the look of the teak-bodied GNR/LNER carriages. I wonder the driver had so much trouble getting Sherwood Forester going with such a light load. Maybe gave it too much regulator. Anyway nice vid. Thanks for sharing.

  • @bkendlerA4 Thanks, I would love to see a complete rake of mainline teak coaches, we have so many locos they could be used behind, the driver was having a tough day - they had use the emergency coupler, and ended up leaving Dumbarton 51 minutes down, but they managed to make up their time further up north.

  • Lovely shots mate, thumbs up

  • excellent video long time since I saw that set of coaches, see it has the ex DMU on the back.

  • @CelosiaHouse Thank you for commenting, I don't think it has ever been a DMU, it was built as a dining observation car.
