He has been taken out of intensive care and put in a regular unit in the hospital. He has woken up a time or two and seen his Mother and actually called her "Mom" which is a good sign. He is still in and out of it but he WILL be back. Just give him time!!! Deftones was the first metal band I ever saw live and they ROCK. Chi is purely awesome! Get well soon Chi! We miss you!

al parecer Chi dejo un trabajo bastante adelantado de la grabación del Eros, pero no ha sido concluido, cosa que leí en una página web. El disco hace unos meses estaba apunto de ser mezclado y masterizado, pero nunca se sabe que cosas puedan faltar, como arreglos del bajo, coros y otras cosas por el estilo.

Deftones oficialmente no ha hecho ninguna declaración al respecto pero el papel de Chi en las futuras presentaciones como las de agosto estarán a cargo de Sergio Vega de Quicksand.

Deftones has been in my life for a long time.

I remember being 7, and getting the Little Nicky soundtrack. And hearing "Change" and "Be Quiet and Drive(acoustic)" for the first time.

I fell in love with them then.

And love them now.

Chi is amazing and pours so much soul into the band, he's amazing.

He's also the basis for the name of the second song off of Life Is Peachy(to the stupid mfs, that's KoRn bitch).

They helped me get through so much bullshit in my life. And not only that, but cheng is the reason I have put time and money into learning bass....I haven't even learned any other tablature....it's nothing but deftones on bass, and chi is a huge inspiration to me.
