UK is king! UCLA got majority of championships in late 60's-70's. Only because California was the place to be! Not because of tradition like UK! Also UK was robbed by refs in 1975, against UCLA in championship game. Wooden announced his retirement before game, the refs were not going to let him go out losing! Also Big Ble will be one championship closer after this year!

This is one of my favorite UK bball videos on youtube. Why? 1.) One of my favorite games from when I was a REALLY little kid, 2.) The biggest beatdown of the filthy Cards ever, 3.) THE MUSIC.

The first song is Maserati (great experimental rock band from Athens, Georgia). The second song is by The Sword, which is probably the best metal band since Helmut. They remind me a lot of Black Sabbath.

I went to high school in Georgia and my best friend lives there, so he keeps me updated on good bands from Georgia. I never saw Maserati live but I've seen them in videos. I really like !!! I have one of their albums from way back in the day. Got into them when they opened up for Modest Mouse n2001. Thanks for the heads up on the EP. I usually try to download as much as possible. I know it's evil for the musicians but so are the record companies. I'm loving the Cats this year but that's nothing new. UK paid Chapman a fortune to come to school there. He was going to sign with Louisville but the rich UK booster had a fit. They gave him a brand new Z28 Camaro with a license plate - IREX on the back. He left after his sophomore season because Sutton told him to clear out before the NCAA got there. Chapman would have been on a national championship at Louisville playing with Pervis.

My favorite part of that whole clip is when Rex make the steal from Kenny Payne at mid court and goes in and dunks on him and gets fouled. Owensboro High School had a better team, but Apollo had a solid backcourt. Baughn use to average 8-12 assists a game... His dad use to drop him off at 5th St. park, and would pick him up a night.
