  • My granpa died this September. He was a humble man, so down to earth. He would sing Sinatra to me all the time, and would often teach me how to dance along with it. So I guess you could say that Sinatra is a very big part of my life just how my grandpa was. I wish people could hear how wonderful music was back then, don't lose hope in my generation. I'm only fourteen and I could listen to this all day. RIP Papa <3 && RIP Frank Sinatra, two equally great men.

  • Sinatra is the best and old songs like these are heavenly...

  • There’s a saying old, says that love is blind

Still we’re often told, "seek and ye shall find"

  • I hate how the "stars" now cover fantastic songs like these.

These songs are fantastic, until all our modern music destroys it.

  • @iFactoids, then you hate when younger generations get turned on to the classics by covers. That's a lot of hate.

  • Just plain delightfull! beautifull!

  • I like the 1946 version from his album "the voice of Frank Sinatra" more. You should buy it from Itunes, totally worth it.

  • I'm here because i like gershwin's composition

  • I didnt even know gaga covered this...i should go hear it so I can hate it.

  • @MrKuritsuka You won't if you're honest. It's good.

  • @MrKuritsuka You won't. Trust me. Also, you could as well listen to her cover of Orange Colored Sky...

  • I'm here because I like Sinatra

  • @ItHadToBeKaya I LOVE HIM.

  • i'm here beacuse i heard it on Fame

  • Love this and Sinatra :-)

  • Sinatra is a legend. Legendary status takes the majority of a lifetime to reach, IF you have a great talent, in the first place. If any of the young talents have what it takes, it will be decades before it is belongs to any of them. As always, especially in the arts, time will tell.

  • Gaga cant hold a candle to Frank EVER

  • fuck gaga

  • its SINATRA! This video is all about sinatra, this song, and the uploader of the video. Stop mentioning Lady Gaga, even if it's because you hate her

  • thumbs up if Sinatra sent you here :)

  • There's someone i'm longing to see..

  • There's Frank Sinatra written, but I think it sounds more like Dean Martin, doesn't it?

  • @nonofication Sinatra and Martin sound absolutely nothing alike. This is Sinatra.

  • Sounds like Dean Martin..?

  • thumbs up if GaGa sent you here :)

  • Oh, this just gave me goosebumps! Thanks so much for sharing! Frank sings just wonderful, with so much feeling!

  • The King

  • It makes me relaxed.

Its slow melody line may be good for me.

His voice is also very good.

  • What a beautiful sound. Such a clean voice. I enjoy artist like him, Michael Bublé is like today's "Frank Sinatra" I melt every time I hear his voice!!

  • ah the magic voice of sinatra!!!!

  • who's the singer?

  • @LoV3lYOrIgAmI Frank Sinatra... who else?

  • this song is SO beautiful :)

  • who the hell was the guy who sang it at the beginning of the movie 'someone to wach over me'

  • @igirly123 that was a great version and a pretty good movie too

  • I guess I'm out of the loop because I didn't even know Lady Gaga made a cover of this song... and I actually like Lady Gaga.

  • Hey God. I am going to sleep now, could you send..........

  • Sinatra was the best ever!!

  • If Lady Gagas cover brings a new generation to Frank and Ella...great!!

  • is that how you feel, Sinatra

  • Honestly the people saying that you hate Lady Gaga for covering this song are so narrow minded. I think it is great that she is introducing older music to the younger generations . Just because she does pop doesn't mean she cant do other genres, and she has an amazing voice and did a damn good cover.

  • Oh I so love this Song, amazing voices

  • not a frank sinatra fan but thats pretty

  • great, great rendition of this song

  • I can't believe it took Lady Gaga for some people to recognize the beauty of Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald. In the other hand at least it is being recognized.

  • @Arayofsunshinee You should believe it, they are 14-18 year olds who have no basis to look up, or hear these jazz standards. It took the Beatles to inroduce me to Motown. It's the game, don't hate the playa...

  • Dear Gaga, thanks for turning your younger audience on to this song with an awesome live performance any jackbrain can find on youtube. Who knew you've been singing jazz in Manhattan bars since your were 14? Now young folks can come hear Sinantra's and Ella's version and broaden their horizons. Ohh I forgot, the teabagger style haters don't think artists should introduce old school tunes to kids. They have more fun hatin' in the name of being snobs, Sorry, your friend,

    mr old blues hound

  • @talkman288 Sorry I must simple disagree I've always been in old soul in a young body, I just can't give credit to someone simply because they sing the song of a legend I must give credit to all the old-time artists who've ever done this song then credit to those new school folks who tribute.

  • @talkman288 it's the pretentiousness in the music that turns people off and it's prevelant. Im 28 and I just couldnt take it anymore and as an alternative about 11 years ago I turned to Sinatra...haven't looked back since.

  • @talkman288 How did you get so many thumbs up with a comment that has gaga written on it in a jazz video like this. You should be in hell for this

  • Comment removed

  • to andy, sung by the greatest, then listen to ella for renee.

  • Frank is GREAT but wanna hear a singer smoother then Frank Sinatra? Come check out our all new Vic Franklyn Tribute Page, with 24 of his songs in 1080p HD :)

  • @VicFranklyn do you want a female version? try " REGINE VELASQUEZ-SOMEONE TO WATCH OVER ME "

    her voice gives shivers... :)

soothing voice every sad person would die for just to hear... :)

  • @kwengjungnim no surprises there... Regine Velasquez is a GREAT singer...

  • @TheLykanime77 how did you know? are you a Filipino? or an asian?

  • @kwengjungnim yeah i'm filipino...

  • Great

  • Chet Baker sings it better

  • He IS the best and always will be!!!!

  • I love GaGa even more for doing a cover of this. LITTLE MONS†ER for EVER!

  • @Swanspice23 I hate gaga even more for doing a cover off this.

  • @CaptainStriker Hate for the sake of hating, eh? Well, if it wasn't for her cover, I (and many others) wouldn't have discovered this.

  • @devennmedia shame on you...

  • @MrsPacaca Shame on me? I'm 18 years old... what did you expect?

  • @devennmedia And I'm 20 and just kidding around! =) I found Ella Fitzgerald 4 years ago when my mom was given a CD as a present and, although she doesn't like jazz very much, she told me she was EXCELLENT and recomended that I listen to it. I thought of changing it for a Good Charlotte CD and if it wasn't for me being just lazy I would have (and would have regretted it for the rest of my life, now I know). So I listened to it after months and regretted not having listened to it before.

  • @MrsPacaca You should listen to Ella's version, so sweet... If I could only sing like her... :'(

And I meant no harm, shame on me too I didn't get the message through, never meant to offend you xD

  • @Swanspice23 Kindly go fuck yourself, you little shit-for-brains prep who thinks you're a freak (who thinks that's cool) for listening to someone who dresses different to get attention than an actual classic like Frank Sinatra who doesn't need that to be a national treasure.

  • lady gaga sings a beautiful cover of this :)

  • Treasured and cherished.

  • Lady Gaga sang this!!!

  • Im13 &&' ; i love this sonqq. :D

  • I'm so glad Lady Gaga turned me on to this song. Long live Sinatra and all that is jazz <3

  • " I may not be the man some girls think of has handsome. "

Oh, frank. Don't even say that. I'd swoon over you any day. <3

  • these where the days when people could REALLY sing

  • lady gaga is amazing

  • It's amazing how a badly a mere 56 years past can degrade music. Go go gadget autotune!

  • Sinatra captures the essence of the lyrics masterfully !

  • GaGa sang this last night!! <3

  • I'm here because GaGa sang that song in a restaurant xD

    Sinatra is amazing <3

I love New York New York too :)

  • @shrouddle OMGNESS HIGH 5 HAHA!!!!

  • He does a great job, but Sting is much better. Don't get me wrong I love Sinatra. Also Queen Latifah sing this and a wonderful job she does. I have it on my IPOD.

  • Wow, how sweet design on this record jacket !

  • Sorry for my incompetence

Is there a version whit piano ?

    Thanks in advance

    Cheers

  • Beautiful, Frank was one in a miilion, will NEVER be another one like him.

For me, big band jazz are the only music worth listening too, there is nothing like it.

  • Someone to watch over to me?

  • what a fag

  • @icfnord Frank Sinatra is a straight up G

  • @awruf

lol of course he is.. That's why he loves the cock

  • Perry Como is much better.

  • So many did this one, so few defined it. Sinatra is one of the latter.

  • All of you talking about 'Fame', no one gives a shit. Frank Sinatra sung music with heart in it. Fame is modern day, commercialised, empty and gimmicky crap. So shut up.

  • @Slypaperclips Who the hell do you think you are you opinionated pompous wanker?

  • LOVE this song!!!!!! i liked their remake in FAME (2009) too!!!!

  • I love the song and the movie it came from and the stars of. And I love you Bea. Yours Vic.

  • this is in fame xD

  • love it!! Kim Burrell's gospel version is great too!

  • This is when his voice was at its perfection. He put so much beautiful emotion in this one, too. A joy to listen.

  • incredible that every 18 year old in my school listens to frank, just shows how great music has no time age!

  • Comment removed

  • Me too! I'm 15.

  • @idioticscheme666 - that's just like me!! haha i can't stop listening to frank he's really really good ;)

  • Like the name of the movie says "young at heart" so it is all about what is in the heart and not what you look but what you feel.

  • @idioticscheme666

    me too !

    and i'm 15

  • @idioticscheme666

good for you!! That's great!!! I'm so glad you recognize the excellent music of Frank and Ella and especially big band!!! I wish more teenagers had the same musical taste!

  • @msinatra I actually love ALL kind of music. From Jazz to Rap, Classical to Rock, Christian to Metal, Indie to Pop, Psychedelic to Acoustic, Oldies to Modern. I love them all. xD

  • @idioticscheme666 you kinda like me but listen, that's not ALL. You don't wanna like ALL kinds of music 'cause that's a little contraditory. By the way, try to listen to some Fado, a portuguese kind of music... you have to learn to listen to it but when you really like it it's awesome

  • @idioticscheme666 should get into some more modern music tbh not like this is any bad jst a little out of date thts all

  • @idioticscheme666

congratulions to you. Good taste for songs.

  • @idioticscheme666 I love Ella too!

  • @idioticscheme666 yeah im 14 too and Frank sintra has had so many hits over the years u cant compare

  • A true classic... fabulous!!!

  • my favorite Sinatra song, so loving, tender, and gentle

  • FRANK < 3

    moja ulubiona piosenka !

  • Not a bit Frank fan, but this was beautifully done.

  • Very romantic and lovely.

  • This song makes me melancholy in a good way.

  • brilliant song.

  • Beautiful.

  • Only Judy Garland's 1943 take on

Gershwin's "But Not For Me" rivals this.

Both are sung with such heartbreaking

    pathos. Genius.

  • perfect Frankie we love you forever

  • Incomparable.
