I heard "Chiche". But that's how I called coins, no matter their value, when I was a kid. I'm from the North, so some southern ppl might disagree with me. Another slang word for coins is "chaucha" (singular) or "Chauchas" (Plural), but it's barely impossible to make the difference between singular and plural in connected speech, cause we tend to omit final "s" sound.
First of all, "chin-chin" is not very used... but it usually reffers to a pay in cash, but almost nobody uses that word. The most common is "plata".
Secondly, when we reffer to money, especifically to thousands of money, we call them "lucas" for example, one thousand pesos= una luca or just luca... two thousand pesos= dos lucas... etc. We never use gabriela or arturo. We say 5 lucas or 10 lucas instead of them.
What is the idea to show "not proper" and not used names of certain things in Chile?. I can understand with weon, luca, cachai etc, but isn't necessary to teach the vulgar use of some words. Believe no one, except few ones, use the word "arturo, Gabriela, chin chin" to say about money, Cachai?
chin-chin is a word from the eighties that didn't mean "money" but cash...Arturo... I never heard of that... she just made that out....What she is doing is what we call "chamullo"
Im 100% chilean and this is the first time i hear somedoby calling money like "chin-chin" we in chile never use that ..... we just call it "plata" .The same happens with "gabriela" and "arturo" u just say "5 lucas" or "10 lucas" ...... :S weird video
..decimos 5 lucas ajjajaja o 5 mil pesos ...gabriela arturo!!! maaaal jajajajaj chichin uuuujajajajaj ke risa
her Chilean is odd!!!! and pretty cursi...,I'm chilean and a lot of her words I've never used them before,I guess chin-chin neither my grandma even use it ;))))
These two fools are not even paying attention to what she's saying. All they're thinking about is boning her. This is evidenced by the fact that the old guy repeats EXACTLY what she said about the word "plata". She says plata means silver literally and then is stupid ass says .."doesn't plata mean silver in Spanish?" some seconds later.
I wouldn't say "chin-chin" sound too silly, just stick to plata.
Don't learn "Gabriela" or "Arturo", you'll be fine (I'm chilean and I've only said domething like this once or twice in my life) , you can use "luca" with any amount really, "20.000 = veinte(20) lucas"
chin chin?? i never heard that, I was born there...
