  • I have loved this son since I was little boy and my father and his friends taught it to me. But I when I was given the greatest joy I had singing it along with some of my friends and Marlene Dietrich. It was haven.

  • excellent voice and song

  • pinches putos

  • Is this Fay Bainter from the movie The Big Lie?

  • Musica e AMOR, inspiração arquetípica..LINDO.

  • Love the song -- and the singer.

  • Fuck you "AcaGate4"....

  • Just Great........

  • molto bello!

    Giuliano

  • music and art in general (like that of leni riefenstahl) should be appreciated not in the context of how it has been used or abused, but by the intrinsic value it possesses; this is a beautiful song, and nothing can diminish that fact!

  • the soldiers anthem for all nationalities

  • Well said

My father was a B17 Tail Gunner in WW2, flew out of Morocco during the bombing campaign against Sicily and Italy, was shot down twice.

Just before he died my mother heard him humming this song on his death bed.

  • Respect to all german soldiers which fell during the war!!!they are heroes god bless them!!!

  • am romanian and i love this song it is love not war

  • This was a song that boosted morale in what can only have been a particularly horrendous period for ordinary people of all nations involved in the macabre, horrific theatre of the World Wars in Europe including "sophisticated Human Kind's "worst atrocities. However I agree that this was when young men from all nations were sent off by families and it is that wistful agony that captured this song to be endorsed and translated by all (enemy and foe alike)? Surely that is telling and offers hope?

  • im german and im ashamed of comments like this...marienfeld07, dietrich always felt german but she was against the nazi terror and that is why we should honour her forever!

  • 99% or Germans are so great that I tend to believe that they ARE better than others. Unfortunately, Nazis were not and they've caused more damage to the nation than Red Army and Americans together. My old man was fighting Nazis on Serbian side but had nothing but respect for Germans. And yeah, he adored this song. Greetings to Germans from around the world from North American Serbian community! Marlene Diterich is in my heart..

  • Odd, I feel the same way about Jews as you feel about Germans. Perhaps we can agree about the leadership of the German nation in that war. Hitler the Austrian (aka Schicklegruber the Mischling, Fat Herman Goering, Homosexual Himmler... What a bunch)

  • Don't get me wrong: I respect Jews and I'm coming from the culture that shares many identical values with Jewish nation. Our histories are similar too as we fiercely fought German imperialists and Nazis (not only German but also Croatian, Albanian etc.) in two wars and they put us in gas chambers. However, being victims made our characters flawed; we recently killed Bosnian Muslims the way Hitler was killing us and Jews are doing the same to Palestinians. Anyways, this song has nothing 2do w/88

  • @rimtutituki92 bosnian asswipes

  • @swinewarrior not all of them..some of them are douchebags:)

haha, just kidding of course, I truly believe that all people are the same. It's the religion, politics, lack of education and sometimes cultural prejudice and intolerance that often screw up relationships.
