When i hear this song (and really... all tomb raider´s songs)... i can feel a lot of mysterious, calm, sadness etc... and that was all we need in the old game´s times...

and because of that is why new game are not epic as Tomb Raider

@SoulNightmareEdge yeah man i remember playing this as a 13 year old and just wanting my life to be full of adventure and excitement... and it is. You're right though i think the only comparable game is the opening of metal gear solid when snake is swimming into the base. Again its that haunting music at the right time. Tomb Raider 1, MGS 1 and Res Evil 1. All three are in my favourite games of all time and all three disappointed me with their sequels (except res evil 2) amazing games.

Game companies seemed to put more into games when they had less to work with, most companies now only care if it looks like some hollywood film and the presentation and care flop as a result, since now it's all about photorealism and less about the actual game.

I absolutely LOVE this theme! It was so amazing to run along the Coliseum's corridors and then see this HUGE arena with looming ancient Greek achitecture and furniture above it. It was amazing. Tomb Raider 1 always had stages that made you stand there and appreciate them in awe, with this song playing.

that's what i liked about core,when it came to the soundtracks,they had it made! i really appreciate crystal dynamics for it's HD graphics.but they don't have that good memory making tomb raider formula,just yet! hopefully they can step it up.

oh my GOD! i just read something about that,it may be all rumors,who knows?but somethings iffy about that,because i just read that tomb raider is getting an overhaul for the big screen,than i happen to read about a new game that is going to be an open world,horror style shooter? it's like they don't know what to do with TR? they'll do better letting core write the stories,instead of kicking fans in the ass with these lacklustering crystal dynamic productions,AOD/next gen you think?

If Chrystal Dynamics is stupid enough to make that mistake, then the time of Tomb Raiders is over. Let's face the truth: Legend, Anniversary and Underworld are all nice, but Core is the only one to make true Tomb Raider -games. Luckily we got 6 of them before Eidos made the greatest mistake of it's life. Thah.
