This director sucks. Terrible shot selection, moving from long shot tableau to on axis long shot tableau. Fight moves look so lumbering and choreographed that they suck all the danger out of the scene. I feel like I'm watching Swan Lake performed by troupe with inner ear balance disorders. Tracking shots are bland, geographically confusing, Inserts are dull and disconnected. Finally, top down beauty shot is dull and disorienting. Seriously, this scene makes Phantom Menace look well directed.

@galeno07 It has a great soundtrack, superb visual effects, and is the sequel to one of my favorite films. No matter how much I want to like it though, its story is nonsensical and poorly written. I had to watch it again after a long while had passed just to be sure it was as awful as I thought it was, and my opinion has not changed. Fastforwarding through the dialogue makes it marginally better at least.

I hated how they used the disc for close quarter fight, it lost the originality of the Disc War. As soon as Rinzlar started it with sam in the arena, it spoilt the film. Then the rip off light sabers, hideous. Then the fight in the club, generic martial art rubbish. The end scene, I hoped for a disc battle, instead there was a bit of pushing and shoving.
