Far too many fans worship their heroes as gods. They are multitalented human beings under a self-imposed microscope, who also have flaws. Steve may realize he cannot do justice to the material any longer. He may be doing pennance for his past by hibernating/
retiring as well. He may be coming to terms with what's truly inside him that was so long neglected while a part of Journey. Steve has grown up, but too many won't let him. We are only left with beautiful memories to cherish.

I was the most lovesick 15 year old around when Perry joined Journey back in '78.and 30 years later he stills gives me goosebumps.......seen Journey evertime they came to town since the Infinity tour.....my dream is that would all unite again for a 30th reunion, I think even they would be surprised at the response it would cause
