  • What a story Mark

  • I dont understand why management was simply allowed to opt out of their concessionary obligations, while the hourly people are being subjected to involuntary servitude, being forced to labor under their obligations.

  • Ford management is not bad. They are doing the right things, and they are doing it at an incredible pace. As the accolades continue to roll in, the only thing left to change is public perception. Public perception will not turn on a dime. The public is so slow to change perception. Any opinion now is about 10 years in the making. So the question is, can Ford outlast the perception lag?

  • I believe Ford has shown real leadership and has long since changed the way it does business and research data proves it such as IIHS (16 Top Safety Picks), JD Powers Initial Quality and Long Term Dependability (Above Average) and Consumer Reports (Above Average, equal with Honda and Toyota in quality).

These things have taken years of work to implement to see these results. After being screwed by Chrysler long ago my family knows it can count on Ford and we appreciate it! Great Job!

  • he sounds phony

  • FORD: CUT AWAY THE FAT. DONT LOOK BACK.

    idiots...

  • go ford

  • NO BAILOUT!!! These companies have BAD management. Mark Fields used the corporate jet to travel to Florida for personal use on the weekends (and at the SAME TIME) asked the employees to "turn off the lights" in unused rooms to save pennies!!!! Ford also gave away free computers to its employees in 2000 when it was losing market share! IN 2008, FORD GAVE OUT HUGE BONUSES TO ITS MANAGEMENT in 2008 even though the company is going down!!!! NOW THEY ARE AFTER THE TAXPAYER DOLLARS???? NO WAY!

  • You seem to know a lot about the automobile industry (no sarcasm implied). Do you work for one of them?

  • If he calls Alan Mullay a "bad manager" then he knows nothing about automobile industry and FoMoCo namely...

  • I wasn't giving the person credentials, and I was definitely not agreeing with them (Because I am a huge Ford fan :D).

It just seems they have confidence in what they said, I was mostly curious as to where they got their facts.

From what I know Alan Mulally has completely turned Ford in a positive direction, and I give him upmost respect for it.

  • LOL! Kooly1... Do YOU work for one of them?

  • naw read my reply to yaroukh's comment. I wasn't agreeing with her/him.

  • Ford hasn't even gotten the same bridge loans as GM or Chrysler. DO NOT DUMP THEM IN THE SAME CAMP AS GM AND CHRYSLER. Shame on you.

  • FORD is doing right going Public supports the Customer Confidence. And in Fact Ford has very good people to challenge current situation.

  • Go Ford!

    Ford fan, Europe

  • Agreed
