Londos was the first superstar created by Vince McMahon Sr, followed by Antonino Rocca, Bruno Sammartino and Bob Backlund. Londos was created as an alternative to Lou Thesz who had a real long time grudge against McMahon's partner, Toots Mondt.

@MrMKH2010 in those days many of the matches were shoot/works- they would wrestle a real match but would go with a predetermined finish- IF the promoter could convince em... Bronco was not a real fighter- at least not in the same class as Londos-
