  • what episode is this?

  • lauras is so beautiful!!!!

  • @madrussiangirl1205 how old is he meant to be in the series?

  • @septembergirlvideos absolutely!! moreover, he has this creepy sister..

  • oh..no..i want that little syder bottle...soo sad

  • almanzo was SO hot

  • i know its the 1800's, but laura was so young, and still looked like a kid. i hated seeing her get married. i dont know why they couldnt have kept her just being a teacher.

and dean butler was so much older than mellissa gilbert. it looked so silly. a man marrying a young girl.

even mellissa gilbert said in her biography that she hated kissing him.

  • @LadyScorpio39 well not for nothing. wasnt common for older men to marry women alot younger then them back then?

  • we do this at home. they are still our wee babies, and then there are more, six at the moment, with another two due this year. aint life grand, especially in glasgow this year....lol.

  • This was a beautiful episodes. I always cry during the wedding scene. I never liked Eliza Jane. I'm glad after this episode, we didn't see her much.

  • @video198712 i feel sorry for her cause shes all alone afterwards..

  • WHERES THE LITTLE LAURA WITH PIGTAILS? lol its sad but we all grow up XD loved little house on the prarie films

  • @16xomileyrulesxo16 Ya he was alot older than her when they actually got married he was 10 years older than her and she was 18 when she got married.

  • I was just weirded out how the portrayed Eliza Jane. In Little Town on The Prairie where Eliza Jane (Miss Wilder) first appeared, she was actually described as attractive, or pretty. I was startled by how old-maidish and frumpy she looked. But's that just me. I suddenly realized that times were different then. All the same, it was a good show! :)

  • groundbumhog just to let you now that almanzo is not ugly.

  • Wonderful Laura, wonderful couple, wonderful show.

But not only a show, this was about humanity, freedom, family respect, love , christianity and many other values....

The kids of today have to deal with speaking breads, shooting monsters and computer based rappers as their heros.

  • @ AllisonMileyCyrus123 I think Laura was 16

  • hey the actor's voice sounds kinda young, i was just curious does anybody know how old she was when she married? thx

  • laura is so pretty

  • Almanzo is ugly

  • all i can see is the lettuce in her hair;

    sorry

  • Eliza jane is ugly

  • mary's boyfriend was more handsome xD

  • @sinaisita You Mean Linwood Boomer I No What You Mean He Was Funny and Handsome <3 :D

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! happy tears

  • usually doesnt the pastor tell them you may kiss the bride b4 they actually kiss?

  • what epi is this? thanks birdee

  • I wish they were married in Walnut Grove, but it doesn't matter. It was so sweet. :D

  • Hmm; in her book, didn't Laura say she got married in black?

  • @laurelkhpr yes that¨s TRUE indeed, they have changed so many things from her orignal story : / -Fan of the books-

  • @laurelkhpr Yes she was married in black with only her friend Ida and Idas beau as witnesses. Also Almanzo was brunettte.

  • what episode is this called :s

  • Sweet <3

  • how old was she when she got married in the show?

  • @danikaL2 17 i think

  • As a children, and being a Catholic, I used to notice all religious service were different from the mass I was used to attend. Also, I always hope to find some tip of the Catholic Church. What religion were the Ingalls in? The same happened, but for shorter time, with the flag. I was 8 or so.

  • I simply LOVE this show!

If I had a Delorean I would drive back and live in this time-period!

I would bring some money though! :) and I would merry a girl just like Laura!

  • Well Time Machines Are Not Real

  • That i dont see before!

  • I LOVE this episode, both because Laura's dream comes true and because Manny and his sister learn that they can live just fine without each other. They will always be a part of each other's lives, no matter what. My favorite line in that WHOLE episode had to be, "My brother was married today. I've never been happier. Really; I haven't."

  • This is the most beautiful series that I've watched...

  • she is so beautiful !realy

i'm from the Netherlands and i always watsch little house on the prairrie

  • She is beautiful woman....

  • T T ....

  • It`s silly! Too cheap!

  • This episode is titled "Laura Ingalls Wilder"

  • what's the name of this episode?

  • Laura´s dream coming true!

    i´m so happy for her

  • laura's dream finally came true..she became Laura Ingalls Wilder!!!!

    yeah!!!!!!!!!( smiles)

  • Laura was my first love...

  • @jazzjeppe and Almanzo was my first love...

  • @MAYOUCHKAYA He was Laura s too, at lest the REAL LAURA

  • @gibbdreamer you mean they loved each other in real life too ??? :o

  • @MAYOUCHKAYA Laura and Almanzo were married in real life. For well over 50 years.

  • @gibbdreamer They were married from 1885-1949 (Almanzo's death). That's 64 years.

  • I remember watching this episode when I was a kid feeling really bad for eliza jane who just had her heart broken.Truly touching.

  • But you have to admire the sacrifice she made to ensure her brother's happiness. A great episode.

  • too bad youtube doesn't allow us to do "thumbs down" twice in a row..

  • I'm pretty sure this episodeis the 2nd part of a of a 2 part episode called "Laura Ingalls Wilder"

  • What episode is the wedding called?

  • did u find out?

  • das ist edmund stoiber falls das keiner weiss ;-)

  • Hi Sarikaris! Isn't it true? That small phrase stll makes me cry today, after so many years....

  • The wedding scene was happy and sad at the same time - Almanzo's sister told everybody a big lie just to see her brother happy...that was sad. I remember watching it with my mom and sister, that was the best show ever....a touching story and great actors to play it. Wish we could have shows like Little House today...but times have changed....thanks for posting

  • As described in the book, Laura actually wore a black cashmere dress when she was married, and a hat. It was a very small ceremony at home, with only family present.

  • Biamedici - Actually, Eliza Jane (Almanzo's sister) and Almanzo's mother were heading out to South Dakota to plan a big wedding. Laura didn't want a big wedding and she knew they couldn't afford it so they got married at Reverand's Brown house instead with only Elmer and Ida as witnesses. Ma wanted a little wedding at home but Laura said they couldn't have a wedding and not wait to have Almanzo's mother there too.

  • oops, sorry I meant to say "Reverend Brown's house"

  • Almanzo's mom looks like Prissy from the Foghorn Leghorn cartoons.

  • That´s not his mum. That´s his older sister.

  • Greatest. Ending. Ever.

  • i know! it made me cry. it is silly how a small little saying like that can make a person cry.

  • Laura and I have the same middle name! :)

She looks alot different when she is older with her hair pulled back.

  • she still seems so young

  • girls married much younger back then

  • why isnt laura wearing wjite?

  • The tradition of wearing a white wedding dress was started by Queen Victoria. While she married in 1840, it did not take long for the fad to catch on.

That and Laura's wedding was pretty spurt of the moment so they probably did not have time to get a white dress.

  • OMG I loved Manly growing up! Funny how the man I plan to marry resembles him ever so slightly. I miss this show.

  • Liza Jane got "Harved"!!

  • Almanzo didn't look too happy during the wedding service considering the fact that he waited such a long time to marry Laura;

  • The actor, not the character, may be tired or sick at times. He was probably not in a good shape that day.

  • awe they make a wonderful couple, but does anyone know how much older he is supposed to be then her in the show?

  • I recall something around ten years... but I'm not too sure. :D

  • this is beautiful!

  • Laura appears to have adorned her hair with some lettuce.

  • And dossen't she look pretty?

  • she didn't adorn her hair with lettuce - read These Happy Golden Years - it tells what she wore in her wedding!

  • I know. But it's funny to say and I found fraulein40s comment highly amusing.

  • Oh, between Mr. Darcy in Pride & Prejudice and Almanzo in LHOTP... I just can't contain myself. Both beautiful love stories!

  • They're like 10 years apart in real life. But I guess it doesn't matter if you're in love.

  • @sarikaris From all that I read, it worked for them. Back then it was not a big deal for a man to be 10 years older, now everyone has an opion ratter it is wanted or not

  • lol he's like so much taller than her!!

  • mannys sis yeeah

  • I kind of felt bad for Liza Jane in this episode because Almanzo was all she had, and she must have been so scared of being alone.

Women then had to rely so much on men, and they were not encouraged to go out and be self-sufficient.

  • So true...and that didn't change for many, many decades! :(

  • She got her man!! way to go Laura!!

  • *starts hysterical crying* laura is all grown up!!

she shoulda worn her pigtails to her wedding hehehe

  • i think dean butler is such a great acter, and melissa gilbert was very pretty

  • They aren't in Walnut Grove, are they?

  • no thy are in sleepy eye

  • omg you people scare me

  • I really hated Eliza Jane until this episode.. the end makes me cry every time!

  • where's michael landon?

  • he was there!

  • i don't see him!

  • after hester sue says congradulations and they go to hug laura and manly, charles hugs laura and that's all you can see of him. it took me a minute to find him, so don't feel bad if you don't see him.

  • ya i see him

  • He's there at 54-55, he's got his arm around Melissa's (Laura's) waist.

  • he was there!

  • thanks!

  • did you see him when Laura huged him. who she was hugging was her Pa

  • i love this episode.. but in real life laura wore a black dress when she was married.

  • Did is say in the books why she did?

  • You bring back so many wonderful memories, thank you!

  • thank you alotttttttttttt . I'm a big fan of this series . I watched it when I was only 8 years old .

I really wanna rewatch all of this series. Can you show me where can I watch online??
