in Denmark the heart problem is not a big issue anymore the dogs have to get a heart check and if something is wrong you`re not alowed to use them for breeding

I grew up with one (looks same as the one in this video), since I was born, until I was ten years of age (same age as he was when he died). Still miss the chap. He got to be REALLY fat though, since we fed him too much, ahaha. Was called Jamie. RIP Jamie.

dont worry all king charles change shape from that lanky short eared look,I always cut my 5 year old with a no4 haircut as he likes swimming so much.get your pup near some shallow water and watch her go.

yah heart problems have everything to do with genetics, my cavlaier died a couple months ago from heart failure and he was only 7 and literally all his brothers and sisters from the same litter died at around the same time from heart problems, it sucks

I have always been wondering if it's true that all Cavaliers get a heart disease by the ages of 3 or 5 years? Because that is the only thing stopping me from wanting a Cavi. If you could reply back that would be great! How old is your Cavalier?

Not all of them do. As long as you give them plenty of exercise and they don't become over weight, then they should be fine. You have to check the background of their parents too, because the heart problems can be passed down. I have a friend who has 5 cavaliers and has had loads before them, and none of theirs have ever had heart problems.

I'm not sure about a maltese. They leave a bit on the furniture but when they do shed hair it's usually in clumps, so it is quite easy to clean up.

I have a Cavalier and I love him. They are the best dogs ever. They are great with people, kids, other dogs. I seriously have not one bad thing to say. They could have health problems like the comment I read below. However, that is only if you get the dog in a pet store. Go to a breeder. My dog is very healthy. Kepp the dog active and well fed.

these are beautiful dogs, i have one called cassie but she has just been diagnosed with syringomyelia via mri, she is only 18mths old, please choose carfully and do checks, ask the breader wether the parents have been tested ect for this health problems and other health problems, these dogs are perfect pets and i would reccomend them to any one i have posted a video of cassie to show one of the signs to help other owners/new owners i wish you all the best in your serch for a cav

Please do not get a CKCS unless you are willing to spend alot of time at home or taking the puppy with you. We are the proud owners of 3 of them and they demand your time and attention. That is what they were bred for. They are wonderful members of our family but we are retired and spend alof of time with them.

Depends on where you but your puppy from. Buying from a registered breeder/show enthusiast is always the best idea because these people spend a lot of time and effort breeding these dogs to perfection, guaranteeing a dog with a sound temperament, and excellent health.
