  • I had this and tons of other MM playsets, I saved all of them, but somehow they were "lost" after I moved out of my parents' house. I still find a little piece from one of them, like a lamp post or bridge every once in a while when I visit them :(

It was always a pain in the ass to close the toolbox with all of the parts inside.

  • Wow long time since i seen that dude. Did i accidently step into a time machine. I love youtube

  • Galoob used to made good Micro Machines back then, and Galoob was a head of its time when it was a good company based in South San Francisco until it was bought out by Hasbro back in 1998. Lewis Galoob was the founder of it's toy making company that made some good toys like Bouncin' babies, Mr. game Show, Bouncin' Kids, Sweet Secrets, Lost & Founds, Game Genie and many others.

  • the ones i had didnt say micro machines :(

  • @cotters1 yeah it almost makes you wanna drag it out and set it up eh lol my nephews see it everytime theyre over and aside from my model cars its the only thing they arent allowed to destroy, i mean play with lol

  • my friend has this but it's a truck.

  • LOL I found this set after digging through my basement. Surprisingly it still has all the pieces! Although most of the stickers are curling off but not too much. I had forgotten that after setting it up it takes a few days for it to finally lay flat!

  • I'm twenty and after seeing this commerical I kinda want one. No joke.

  • Me too.

  • a loved this when i was young always used to lose the wee street lights but :(

  • *head explodes*

  • 10697

  • shut the fuck up blurr

  • I was obsessed with micro machines when I was a kid. I had this toolbox city, and the gasoline can city.

  • lol same. The only thing i hated about micromachine stuff is that it started breaking after a while.

  • mine never did man i got this set in like 1989 and i got the super van city one in like 1993 and i still have both of them with all the original parts

  • I miss those things.

  • I had this!

  • Smaller then a nut, this one or this one!

  • It's not the real thing!

  • i wanna see the robot chicken version

  • @Adayam lol i just saw it on tv a minute ago

  • If it doesn't say Micro Machines it not the real thing. I had so many bootleg Micro Machines it was REDICULOUS lol. I had a lot of real ones to. You could not tell the difference.

  • i had that thang but my dad threw it away

  • I had that.

  • lol "Smaller then a nut, this one or this one" AHAHAHAA

  • After watching that all I understood was "Micromachines [blahblahblah] it's not the real thing!"

  • he talks as fast as Barrett Jackson lol

  • Did that guy even take a breath through out that whole commercial?

  • Micro Machines is aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawesome.

  • woooooooooooooooooooow fast talking

  • MMMMMMMICROMACHINES!It'ssmallerthananut,thisone,thisone,orthisone!

And I thought the Super Mario All Stars commercial was fast.

  • Gotta love & miss the 90's best toys best commecrials.

  • Damn. I wonder if he took a big whiff of coke before the commercial started to talk that fast.

  • micromachines 8) good old memories!

  • could ya talk any faster? it was quite to slow for me!

  • I had one of these when I was little. I remember having the most fun setting it up.

  • lol, i remember those, i still have 'em in my closet. *sigh* good times, goooooood times.

  • A wise man once told me that if it doesnt say 'micro machines', then its no the real thing.

  • I had that. It never folded flat.

  • Errr... Yeah... I guess he said Micro Machines... Which I like... a lot but.... wow...

  • wut. : /

  • That man is my hero.

  • Galoob

  • I had that one! You could hook it up to the square set too, it was awesome.

  • this guy reminds me of al harington from family guy

  • Actualy I'm betting al harington is based on this guy.

  • love him :P

  • WTF?!?! How the HELL did this guy do the voice for one of the transformers in the 1980's animated movie?! Jesus, how could any of the autobots understand that guy??

  • You mean Blurr.

  • i have that

  • I had this same one when I was 3 years old. I had a cement truck micro machine, that was my favorite, I loved driving the cars across the bridge!

  • A whole commercial in less than a minute. If only commercial breaks were that short, then the shows would be better....

  • i always thought him and the scatman was the same guy.

  • i had this! except the box was shaped like a van

  • HAHA! I totally had this set when I was kid. That thing kicked major ass. I'm sure its collecting dust somewhere in my parents' house! :)

  • I can speak faster than him

  • this thing kicked ass. go capitalism.

  • i had all of them too bad kids were choking on em do they even make them anymore

  • It wasn't the choking kids that stopped production, it was the buyout of Galoob by Hasbro. According to Hasbro, Micro Machines wasn't profitable enough to keep going, but some of the doll lines were.

  • now ain't that some B.S lol i remember people buys em in packs of five to ten they were not cheap

  • I remember having that thing

  • hOLY SHIT...I remember having that thing. Ahhh...memories.

  • wow, i actually remember that comercial...i have the micro machines back to the future set...

  • Man, I've been trying to get one of these off of ebay. You're probably the one who outbid me. :(

  • I love micro machines I just bought this recently on ebay

  • Wow. I got this for my fourth biethday! Brings back memories...

  • god damn, this is from a long time ago, i used to love micro machines, the best one was the white lamborghini with the doors that opened.

  • i have that and over 200+ mint cars. 120 still in box.

  • damn, are they worth anything?

  • the mint ones that are still in the box are worth 150% of the original price. if it was $5, its now $15. The dented box ones are worth double. The loose cars that are not in the box are worth $0.99+ depending on their year and how rare they are. I just got a Blue Angels set that is worth $60 now. So Id say the original cost of these were over $500 now worth about over $1500.

  • shit, wish i'd have kept mine, maybe they're in the attic haa!

  • "the mint ones that are still in the box are worth 150% of the original price. if it was $5, its now $15."

*facepalm* That'd be 300% of the original price. Oh well, education is overrated.

  • haha oops... nice correction. Also, I typed the sentence wrong. I wanted to type something else. Originally I wanted to type: "the mint ones that are still in the box are worth 150%+ of the original price. The prices vary upon the manufacturing year and how rare they are. Lets take the #56 Autosports set for example; if it was $5, its now $15." I wasn't sure if it was going to cost that much, so i editted and took it out without changing the percent. Thank you for pointing that out

  • Rarity doesn't determine the value all that much, demand trumps rarity every time. An original 1987 set can be worth anywhere from $10 to over $100 depending on which cars and who wants it.

  • that is also true. But the fact that the production stopped and the part that people still have some mint in box already boosts the price; rare or not. you have any?

  • I have thousands of them... I don't think I can post my website link in here.. but I used to sell them on eBay (sold over 3,000 of them there).

Out of blisterpack you are likely to make more money than in blisterpack, unless it is a really really rare one.

  • I remember having that as a kid!!

  • Didnt this guy die from a cocaine overdose?

  • I loved Micro Machines... some great memories as a kid.

  • Micro machines was smart to hire this guy to tell them everything about that play set in just 29 seconds. Now thats a full advertisement with cheap and short ad. Ah the money they probably made.

  • I completely agree. You can get so much information. Even though you can't keep up with him, for some reason, you know everything he said. It's strange. But yes, great, great idea for Galoob's advertising team to hire him on.

  • hey i had that kit as a kid! it was enjoyable :)

  • That's the guy who Did the voice of Blurr for Transformers the movie!

  • wasent there like a different gray box version?

    i had that one.

  • That's amazing i used to play with that all the time. Can't remember if i had it or my best friend did but one of us had it. Great toys!!!

  • Argh, I had this too. I sold it for like three bucks to some used toy store. If I knew back then that three dollars is chump change, I'd still have this amazing toy today.

Oh well, time to get on eBay.

  • Do you think that guy cries every night because he isn't famous anymore? I bet he does.

  • I doubt that he crys about not being famous. He still does tv and movies tyhe most recent movie was this year. his name is: John Moschitta Jr..

  • He also did the voice for Blurr in the original Transformers series and the new Transformers Series coming soon.

  • i used to have this myself. lost it in 92 when i moved... damnit...

  • lol i had this

  • i love the Micro Machines Guy!!

i totally remembered having the playsets as a child, Micro Machines rule!! kudos to you my friend!!

    GO RETRO!!

  • I remember these commercials. I would always record the commercial and pause the tap one at a time to figure out what the guy was saying. I used to have the complete set.

  • WOW i had this thing!! dont know where is now :-(

  • THAT WAS THE SHIIIT WHEN I WAS A KID AAHAA memories.I remember When he was the voice of Blur on Transfomers.

  • That seriously looks like an awesome toy. I'm pretty sure I used to have it, but it's probably missing half the pieces if I still have it.

  • i wish they still sold these sets in stores. it looks so freakin' awesome.

  • woot! I still have this set, I loved the heck out of it as a kid.. all the different fake advertisements were cool too "Mr Snow Car Wash" and the Moon building.. great times

  • I wish I could talk that fast!

  • Oh cool..was hoping this was here..Did anyone see the micro machine guy on that new game show Identity...Almost didn't recognize him..

  • This guy was awesome.

  • correction. This guy IS awesome. and still is.

  • damn i want one of those cool sets.... im looking everywhere for them

  • there's quite a few sets like it nowadays. I have a huge gasoline truck that opens into stunt city.

  • thats not the original galoob though.

  • he died

  • wait NOOO! HE ISNT DEAD YOU LIAR! John Moschitta, Jr. IS STILL ALIVE!

  • Brings back a lot of memories. This was my favourite toy. still got it 15 years later!!

  • Whoa, I had this!

  • Awesome, i had that toolbox/town playset and tons of micro machines. Brings me back.

Never could talk as fast as him.

  • Oh man, THANK YOU for uploading this. I miss the Micro Machine Guy...what the heck ever happened to him? I'd love to see him on one of those new Geico "this is not an actor..so to help them we hired one" commercials they're showing now. He was totally a hero back in his day.
