I also have Duke Energy here in Clarksville Indiana and they charge what they want to,ive installed 3.6 kw worth of solar use have the electric I use to the meter numbers are cut in half and they raised the cost per kw hour they charge me what a rip off they do not want us to go green here in indiana,the meter numbers are half of what they were lst month and only save 11 dollars.
Well, let's see, wreckless. Edwardsport was initially estimated at $1.3 billion. Now it's $2.5 billion and counting. Duke said $2.35 billion would be enough shortly before they filed for yet another increase in cost. And this for a plant we don't even need. The summer reserve margin for electric power in the Midwest is 32.5%, the norm is 15%.
Duke is also busy at the Indiana state legislature eliminating people's rights to protect their property from carbon pipelines and contamination.
My Duke Energy bill jumped this winter from around $70 per month to over $100 after the IURC gave them a free hand to gouge rate payers. Now they're asking the IURC to allow another 30% to 40% rate increase? That coal had better be really damn clean, and the air a lot purer.
And where will all those captured pollutants end up?
The answer is that the air will not be cleaner and sequestration of carbon cannot possibly work, given the volumes of CO2 and costs involved. A University of Wyoming researcher estimated the costs of carbon capture and sequestration to $1.5 trillion per year. And Duke will want you to pay for every cent of their share of the costs.

@wreckless33
If course it is. Scaring people is a great way to get your point across. Those mean smoke stacks + music = scary.
