Not saying Sauckel was an innocent man, but he didn't deserve a death sentence. It was Speer who should have hanged, and Sauckel should have been sentenced in prison maximum of 20 years. I've read Speers books and the man was full of bullshit. What he writed was just fictional fantasy of his - you can read through the written lines of his he wasn't honest and just squeezed his eyes shut among the nazi criminal chaos around him. It was his charisma what saved his reputation in the end.
